Inheritance was a key part of Lila's life. Most of the money, the riches, her family had were based from her grandmother's successful career.
Ever since she was young, she'd been learning spell after spell. But could never get it right.
"Almost there sweetie." Her mom would say.
"Try again," said her dad. But after trying and failing many times, they soon gave up on her.
Lila reaches for her coat, getting ready to go outside. It was dark, dull and rainy, most like the things around her.
Her eyes trace the room looking for her blue beaded necklace.
"There it is!" She says, putting it on. She looks at herself in the mirror. Her brown hair was fading into a lightish grey color.129Please respect copyright.PENANAZpCjD0SKOc
Her once blue eyes were turning grey as well. Hideous. She thought she looked hideous.129Please respect copyright.PENANATUB8dGMqgU
Her eyes shift to the door. The bright yellow, friendly door. As if inviting everyone in. She reaches for the handle.
"Ah, Lila, if you're going out then put on a hat. It's raining like cats and dogs outside." Said her mom.129Please respect copyright.PENANAoecQL0HmbH
At the sound of her voice, Lila jumped. She hadn't realized her mom had come, too absorbed in going outside. 129Please respect copyright.PENANA6uixjNYHKB
Lila's eyes moved to the big hat that sat on a shelf. It was an ugly hat, Lila hated it. But, her mom insisted she wear it, and she wasn't in the mood to argue and risk her chance of leaving.129Please respect copyright.PENANAsRggDZQPTE
