Trapped once again in pale-faced halls,

Loud cheers and friends, surrounding calls,

Enveloped by memories, pressed to the wall,

There was a girl that that one saw.

.

A distressed voice lay silent still,

Heard only by scar tissue, scarred by will,

Though all bottled up, it was ready to spill,

There was a girl who that one saw.

.

Long sleeves, baggy clothes, every day,

Kept it hidden beneath, from fear and shame,

So that never again would she receive blame,

There was a girl who that one saw.

.

Clueless eyes, limbs brush past,

Short-lived gazes that never last,

Not a single hand had emerged from the mass,

There was a girl who that one saw.

.

One off the bus, she stalled, slowly roamed,

The linger of liquor lead her back home,

Her only friend, a quick blade of stone,

There was a girl who that one saw.

.

Each day dragging on, a weary routine,

Slipping further, tearing the seam,

Sanity ceasing with her unheeded scream,

There was a girl that no one saw.

.

A final decision, not impulsive nor sly,

A long-drawn breath, a last glimpse of her eye,

Yearning to go, yet tears fell from in a cry,

They wouldn't see her anyways.

.

Soundless footsteps sweeping the halls,

Tense are minds, hushed in a thrall,

A moment of silence, for guilty are all,

Mourning the girl they never saw.
