Izuki and I share the same class on Mondays at the end of the day, so I spend time with him after school.
We saw a boy rush right past us when we walked down the hall. Right behind him were several big, burly guys chasing after him. I didn't want to get involved with whatever I witnessed. Without a second thought, I continued to walk away. Abruptly, something pulled at my hood.
"We should follow them." Izuki beckoned.
“Are you crazy?! I don't want my ass getting kicked.”
He ignored my protests and dragged me by the sleeve of my blazer. We saw one of the guys banging on the door as we hid around the corner. Izuki gave me a worried look.
"Come out Koukou!!" He opened the door but no one was in it.
From out of nowhere, we saw a hooded boy walking down the hall towards the bullies. I couldn't quite see his physique, but his ominous appearance shivered me to my core. His face was obscured by the shadow of his hood, but I got a glimpse of a star-like symbol in his left eye.
"He's not here! Let's check the–"
The hooded boy swiftly punched him into the wall. I flinched at the sound of his fist connecting with the bully’s jaw. The boy didn’t hesitate to start beating his crew. He quickly kicked and threw the others onto the floor until they lay limp and unconscious. The sounds of their bodies collapsing sent shivers down my spine. They were all passed out on the floor within seconds.
I covered Izuki's mouth so he didn't yell in fear. The dangerous boy entered the room but also noticed nothing was inside. The two of us held our breaths in case he were to turn around and see us. Thankfully, after a few minutes, he walked out. Before I could comprehend anything else, he turned on his heels and walked away.
The two of us came out of hiding and got a look at the scene. To no surprise, there was nothing inside the closet.
“We should probably leave before a teacher thinks we fought these guys,” Izuki suggested.
“Shouldn’t we call a teacher? For all we know, those boys could be dead!”
Izuki nodded, gingerly poking the limp bodies with his foot. “Maybe you’re right. Let’s go call someone and take them to the nurse’s room.” Izuki toppled over as he attempted to lift the arm of the leader. He shuddered while trying to lift the body again. “That guy appeared out of thin-” Izuki was cut off by a loud thud from the closest.
The two of us cocked our heads at the creaking noise of the closest door opening, revealing a black spiky-haired boy with his back glued to the wall. The boy looked young but was almost just as tall as Izuki, except he was more muscular than Izuki. He stared at us with his wide pink eyes.
“Where the hell did ya come from?!” Izuki shouted.
“Sorry, I thought you were that guy.” He stepped out of the closet, ruffling his hair.
How did we not see him in the closet? My brows furrowed. “Are you alright? We saw you running away from those people earlier.”
“Yeah, everything's fine.” He grinned brightly at me. “I’m Nishikawa Kouji.”
“I’m Yokono Rito and this is Fukuyama Izuki.” Izuki raised a peace sign as I said his name.
The boys on the floor started to stir, reminding the three of us to react immediately.
“Thanks a bunch! I’ll go call someone to come here to take care of these guys. You guys can leave this to me.” He bowed his head while walking away.
My eyes widened as I thought back to the time I encountered the couple in the bathroom. Can he turn invisible like me?
“Wait!” I ran up to Kouji. If my hunch was right, I needed to keep an eye on him. I thought internally. “Um, here,” I grabbed a pen out of my pocket and lifted my palm. “Can I have your number?”
Kouji’s face turned the same shade of pink as his eyes. Izuki stood behind me with his jaw agape. The boy picked up the pen and scribbled down his number.
“Thanks, I’ll text you later!” I smiled.
He carefully put the pen in my hand and quickly walked away, taking large strides with his long legs. He stuck his hands in his blazer pockets stiffly before turning the corner.
“Rito, I didn’t know ya were that desperate to get a boyfriend...”
My eyes lit up with sudden embarrassment. “Shut up!” I growled. “I have my eyes on someone else anyway…”
Izuki giggled, elbowing my arm. I ignored him as we quickly left the halls.

R: And so that’s what happened
N: Thanks for the update.
A: Incredible! Rito, you’re such a flirt hehe
R: I WASN’T FLIRTING!
A: I kid >3<
A: But if you ever need dating advice, you can rely on your superior! (^ v ^)
N: Don’t.
A: WAH I’M HURT </3
N: Asuka, have you ever seen someone like Yokono-senpai described?
A: Hmm, not that I know of. There’s a possibility he’s an assassin.
An assassin at our school?!
N: What a headache.
N: Well, if you have any other updates let us know. Stay alert at all times.
I would have never thought Natsuki would be younger than me from the way he speaks. Well, he does have more experience than me when it comes to supernatural powers, so I guess he would be considered my superior in that case.
I sent an acknowledging message before I walked out of my room to go wash up.
I wonder when the next supernatural will pop up. I pondered, continuing to brush my teeth. My mind suddenly flashed with images of the ominous hooded boy. His cold menacing aura and his unmatched combat skills made the hairs on my skin stand on end.
I hope he’s not a supernatural… I shuddered, spitting out my toothpaste into the drain.
