As the night wore on Arin found herself lost in conversation with Prince Kaelin. They talked about everything from books to music to their shared love of horses. Arin was surprised by how easy it was to talk to the prince, and how much they had in common.
Just as Arin was starting to feel like she was getting to know the prince, he excused himself to attend to some royal business. Arin was left standing alone, feeling a little awkward.
But before she could feel too out of place, Prince Kaelin returned with a smile on his face. “I have a Favour to ask you”, he said, his eyes sparking with mischief.
”Would you like to join me for a ride in the palace garden tomorrow morning?”
Arin’s heart skipped a beat as she considered the prince’s invitation. She had never been one for adventure but there was something about the prince’s smile that made her want to say yes.
”I’d love to “, she said finally, trying to sound causal despite the butterflies in her stomach.
Prince Kaelin grinned, clearly pleased with her response. “I’ll send a carriage for you at dawn “, he said, before bowing low and disappearing into the crowd.
Arin watched him go, feeling a little dazed. What have I gotten myself into? She couldn’t help but wounded what the prince has planned for their ride in the palace gardens.
As she made her way back to her seat, Arin couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement. She had never been one for taking risks, but there was something about Prince Kaelin that made her want to throw caution to the wind.
She spent the rest of the evening lost in thought, wondering what the next day would bring. As the night drew to a close, Arin made her way back to her chamber, feeling a sense of anticipation that she couldn’t shake. She knew that tomorrow would be a day unlike any other and she couldn’t wait to see what it had in store.
As she changed into her nightgown and climbed into bed Arin couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder, she had never felt this way about anyone before and she wasn’t sure what to make of it.
But as she drifted off to sleep, she knew that she was excited to find out tomorrow would come soon enough.
The next morning, Arin woke up feeling refreshed and excited. She quickly got dressed and made her way downstairs, where a carriage was waiting to take her to the palace gardens.
As she rode through the street, Arin couldn’t help but feel nervous, but as the carriage pulled up to the palace gates, Arin nerves began to settle. She could see Prince Kaelin waiting for her, looking handsome and charming in his riding clothes.
He smiled as she climbed down from the carriage, and offered her his arm. “Shall we?” he said, leading her towards the stables.
Arin nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. She had no idea what the day would bring, but she was ready to find out.
