Issen thought Cassia locating her practice in a part of Loradia that was just as quaint and serene as its interior was awfully considerate. This would make it somewhat easier for her patients to acclimate during and after recovery.
Loradia is quite a large land where transportation is generally absent, due to Vitalis playing a key role in naturally mitigating fatigue as a reserve energy source, but in Issen's case, his constant attentiveness and appreciation of his surroundings allows him to pay no heed to such things.
As such, when he navigated to Dr. Lande's alchemy, there was a noticeable increase in activity as he traveled from town to town. His storefront was located alongside other buildings that surrounded the local market, which hosted a plethora of informal street vendors selling a variety of items of various (dubious) origins.
There wasn't exactly competition between these vendors and stores. They both catered towards particular niches. Fully fledged stores typically sold items and equipment geared towards magician support, whereas vendors sold items of interest to people of all proficiencies and professions.
Issen entered the alchemy with the signature bell signalling his arrival upon opening the door. "Issen! You're just in time! Help me out here, will you?" "Doc? Where are you?" "In here, son!" It had been quite some time since Dr. Lande asked him for direct assistance. Issen had almost forgotten about the concealed entrance to the room next to the front-facing counter, where a myriad of cauldrons are stored, the Doctor's main workspace.
In Loradia there are two main types of doctors. One specialises in strictly elixirs and the like which aid in the wielding of Vitalis, rejuvenating its flow, refueling reserves (recuperation), as well as elixirs that allow one to strengthen their proficiency in the kind of magic they wish to master (combative elements and etcetera).
Erlich Lande is considered a master of his craft. He possesses expansive knowledge of spellbinding, impressive for a human. His technique comes close to rivalling that of elves.
Despite him not being able to utilise Vitalis for his own purposes like materialising spells, he is able to channel his abundant amounts of Vitalis, combined with his spellbinding, into elixirs of unprecedented quality.
The other type of doctor is one that is considered 'traditional'. Specialising primarily in rudimentary recuperative practices, while also being privy to the flow of Vitalis and its role in the biological makeup of species. An example would be Dr. Varr.
Doctors of her and Dr. Lande's calibre are found few and far between in Loradia.
Dr. Lande is a man whose composure emanates sheer wisdom. Bald with a beard thick enough to compensate, he could very well be considered the Santa Claus for those in dire need for his wisdom and recuperative elixirs.
