(Opening Sequence)
The image of a small ranch house fades in. The title "Cassidus" appears over the image. The opening sequence then fades out.

(Story)
Cassidus is on his horse, checking out his recently purchased ranch, with voiceover narration.
CASSIDUS (voiceover narration) : "You know, I'm what some people would call a lone wanderer, but now I have no choice but to settle in. See, I bought a small ranch so now I'm gonna have to get used to keeping myself busy maintaining it. My name is Clayton Cassidy, but before I moved out here, people called me Cassidus. It's the name of a courageous man."
(Next scene)
As Cassidus is riding into town for supplies, a man notices him and asks him for help.
MAN : "Excuse me, sir. How are you with a gun?"
CASSIDUS : "Fair. Why?"
MAN : "There's a group of fast gunmen who have been controlling the town all morning. We need someone fast to take them out."
Cassidus looks on as he contemplates getting involved.
CASSIDUS : "I'll think about it. In the meantime I gotta buy some supplies. I'll see ya later."
As Cassidus enters the general store, four men appear and start a fight with Cassidus.
CASSIDUS : "I'll need some supplies, please. I have a list right here."
STORE CLERK : "Right away, sir."
GUNFIGHTER 1 (leader) : "Well well, what do we have here? Hey, mister, you look at me when I'm talking to you."
He then shoves Cassidus, causing Cassidus to punch him, knocking him down. The other three jump into the fight. Cassidus is briefly able to hold them off. The leader gets up and holds Cassidus down while the others beat him up.
GUNFIGHTER 1 (leader): "Maybe next time, you'll learn to respect a man when he's talking, sodbuster."
CASSIDUS : "Your kind always needs help, don't you?"
GUNFIGHTER 1 (leader) : "I take my wins wherever I find 'em........hey, sodbuster, how's about you tell me your name."
CASSIDUS : "Cassidus. Remember that as the name that will beat you all senseless."
GUNFIGHTER 1 (leader) (mockingly) : "Whatever, sodbuster, I mean Cassidus. Let's get outta here, boys."
Cassidus dazedly gets up and speaks with the store clerk.
STORE CLERK : "Are you okay, Cassidus?"
CASSIDUS : "Yeah. I'm still gonna need those supplies. Thank you very much."
Cassidus first heads home with his supplies before searching for those gunfighters.
CASSIDUS : "Four gunfighters, eh? I have no clue how I'm gonna fight 'em. They don't fight fair so fighting them upfront won't work. I gotta think this one through."
After getting his supplies unloaded at his ranch, Cassidus heads back into town.
As he rides back in town, Cassidus goes back to the general store for some information.
CASSIDUS : "Excuse me, about those guys that jumped me. Where do they usually be at?"
STORE CLERK : "Well.......they are said to camp out at the saloon. At least, that's where I always see them."
CASSIDUS : "Much obliged."
Cassidus goes to the saloon, hoping to take revenge for his brutal beating.
He then decides to go for a quick drink.
CASSIDUS : "Hey, bartender. Whiskey, please.
BARTENDER : "Comin' right up. Hey, what happened to you, mister? You look like you got a face full 'a buckshot."
CASSIDUS : "Oh, it's nothing. I had a run-in with some cowboys, is all. Excuse me."
Finishing his drink, Cassidus sees the outlaws who beat him. He goes over and confronts them.
CASSIDUS : "Hey you."
GUNFIGHTER 1 (leader) : "Oh, it's you again. Uh, Cassidus, was it? You want another beating, don't you? Well I'll be happy to oblige you."
The leader throws a punch, but Cassidus blocks it and gives him two punches, knocking him down. The other three jump in once again and draw their guns out, but Cassidus rolls to the ground and quickly fires his gun, killing three out of the four gunfighters, leaving just the leader alive."
CASSIDUS : "Now.......that just leaves you, cowboy. Now why don't we pick up right where we left off?"
Cassidus puts his gun back in his holster and takes his gunbelt off and leaves it next to the bar.
GUNFIGHTER 1 (leader) : "You...... I'll kill you."
The leader gets up and tries to punch Cassidus, but misses and Cassidus hits him with a combination of punches, knocking him out.
CASSIDUS : "Now you wanna keep it going, or is that all you got?"
Cassidus grabs his gun belt and puts it back on before going back to his ranch.
CASSIDUS : "Thanks for the whiskey."
As Cassidus heads back to his ranch, a man is watching him while unseen.
(The next morning)
In town, a man enters the saloon, asking the bartender who is that man who took on 4 gunfighters singlehandedly.
BARTENDER : "Apparently, he is Cassidus."
MYSTERIOUS MAN : "I heard of a man named Cassidus in a town I lived in before coming here. Thanks, bartender."
(Later that night)
At his ranch, Cassidus hears noises outside. After checking outside, no one is seen.
CASSIDUS : "Someone's out there. Just don't know who, or where."
Minutes later, the noises stop, and Cassidus is able to get a good night's sleep.
(The next day)
Cassidus goes back in town and stops at the bank to make a deposit.
After finishing his business at the bank, Cassidus prepares to go back to his ranch.
MYSTERIOUS MAN : "You always run away after completing your business?"
CASSIDUS : "You talkin' to me?"
MYSTERIOUS MAN : "I heard 'o you. You're the legendary Cassidus from the town of Cheyenne. You figure on makin' a reputation here, too?"
CASSIDUS : "That's funny, mister. I don't remember you from Cheyenne. You figure on starting a fight? 'Cause I'm not interested."
MYSTERIOUS MAN : "I seen how you handled the four gunfighters in the saloon. There's no one faster than you........until now."
CASSIDUS : "Why don't you just say it out? What do you want?"
MYSTERIOUS MAN : "I'm gonna kill you!! A man can only imagine the reputation he gets from killing the great Cassidus."
CASSIDUS : "Are we gonna stand here talkin', or are you gonna draw?"
MYSTERIOUS MAN : "I say draw........NOW!!!!!!
(GUNSHOT)
Cassidus out draws the man in the street.
TOWN CITIZEN : "That's some mighty fine shootin' mister."
CASSIDUS : "Thanks."
CASSIDUS (thinking) : "So that must've been the noises I heard last night. He was watching me closely. Studying me."
Cassidus then goes back to his ranch.
