These reports and researches were conducted through March 28th, 1997 up to September 10th, 2010. These series of interviews and documents revolve primarily on a girl named Sarah and the disappearance of her older sister.
We first met Sarah on the sunny evening of March 28th, 1997. At the time, she was 16 years old living with her parents in a lovely suburban home. We had come to research about the disappearance of Sarah's sister, Gwendolyn. We sat with Sarah and her two parents in their living room. We were curious because Sarah had said something about Gwen's disappearance was unnatural. Sarah had stated that no one is willing to listen to her so Matthew Peters, the main interviewer, asked Sarah to further explain.
Sarah began, stating that she and Gwen "didn't really get along". The two being a year a part often left them competing for things growing up. As they got older, they drifted into their own interests and social cliques. Sarah found a love for photography when she started high school. Gwen hung out with the popular people in their school. Sarah started to explain this one incident that occurred last fall. Sarah and her sister were already having a disagreement due to Sarah accusing Gwen for stealing an idea of her's for a poetry contest. Matthew asked Sarah to further elaborate on the poetry contest but she stated that it was not important. Sarah continued, she said one day, a little after school ended, she spotted Gwen walking alone. Sarah had her camera with her and had the impulsive idea to start taking pictures of Gwen. Matthew asked Sarah why she took pictures of her sister and Sarah meekly stated because she hoped to get some bad pictures of Gwen as an act of revenge.
Then Sarah added that Gwen had spotted her taken pictures but she didn't seem to mind. We asked Sarah how Gwen reacted. Sarah stated, "She was pretty weird about it. She posed and said that she didn't care, I could show the whole school if I liked."
When Sarah went to look at the pictures at home, there was something off with them. Gwen didn't look like how she was in person. In Sarah's words, she said, "She looked almost…cursed. Like her eyes looked black and her face looked twisted. There was also a scar on her face she never had before."
Matthew tried asking Sarah if she still had the pictures but Sarah's mother began to scream all of a sudden and fell off the couch. The team tried helping but Sarah's father drove us away.
The next interview happened a year later, November 14th, 1998. The team and I had to meet while Sarah's father was at work since he was not interested in interviews anymore. Sarah took us to her bedroom where she pulled out the pictures she had stated that previous year. Sarah didn't allow us to take the pictures with us so the photographer took pictures of them instead. Sarah began to describe Gwen in greater detail. "She was a very horrible person," Sarah stated, "She mocked other people, kicked dogs and stuff. Yet everyone was wrapped around her finger."
We asked Sarah to elaborate on that. Sarah said that everybody, including her parents, thought so highly of Gwen. Almost like they were mind controlled. Before Sarah could explain further, her father returned from work earlier than expected and there was an altercation with him and the recorder and the police were threatened to be called. We had left Sarah's house and haven't returned since and the whole research project was cancelled.
After the event that happened on November 14th, there was a series of odd occurrences. It first started with the death of the photographer on the frigid evening of December 30th, 2001. It was stated that the photographer was having dinner with his family when he started screaming and pointing at something by the window. When his wife frantically asked what he saw, all he said was, "It's her!" And he went unresponsive. He was declared dead later that night.
Next was Matthew, the main interviewer. He was found at his residential pool unresponsive on July 8th, 2004. It was concluded that he had accidentally fallen in and died of accidental drowning. Though there was sign of struggle by the teared window curtain and broken door hinges, the police concluded that there was no foul play involved.
The recorder from the research project went to interview Sarah at the mental facility she resided in on September 10th, 2010. The staff was strict, allowing him seven minutes to speak with Sarah. He tried questioning the 29 year old Sarah who looked dazed until his question about the recent deaths. She then started rocking back and forth in her seat, yelling the following words: "It's her! She's the one! She's been haunting me since!"
The staff then rushed the recorder out of the institution. Later that night the recorder listened to the recording. His wife stated that she had heard screaming coming from his office so she ran to his office and saw him lying on the ground unconscious with the recording device crushed. He was declared dead the following day.
Since then there were no leads on Gwendolyn's disappearance. The other men that worked on the short-lived project have not been heard of. Sarah passed away on April 7th, 2018 due to unknown causes. But there was a note with her writing next to her bed that said, "Gwendolyn still lives."
