BANANA FISH [バナナフィッシュ]; a shoujo manga written by Akimi Yoshida in 1985, follows the rough life of a seventeen-year-old boy named Ash Lynx. Having gone through gang violence, trauma, and loss, Ash is one of the strongest main characters ever created! Nineteen mangas have been written for the series, and I plan to make them into a novel format! One tip while reading... make sure not to cry too loudly! 

It's 1986, and Manhattan is bustling with crime and new romance. Okumura Eiji, a nineteen-year-old photography apprentice from Japan, goes with his mentor, Shunichi Ibe, to America in an attempt to cheer him up after he suffers an injury and is unable to pole vault anymore. Once the two of them come to New York City, they get tangled up in the research for a mysterious drug called Banana Fish, and Ash is stuck in the middle of it.
