Man.
Seen as the very image of strength and protection, man is relied upon to be the brawn, the do-er. Expected to be able to handle anything thrown at them and make things happen by sheer muscle alone. War was made by Man, around Man, for Man. Crafted, shaped, practiced, and perfected by Man alone. Toughness abound, gritty, rough, intimidating. This is the image of Man.
Yet, he will fail to achieve these images and standards, because Man will overreach, set too high of expectations. A set of chiseled abs becomes the defining line between Man and boy, as if a simple part of the body would dictate such a transition. A Man's abdominal muscles, a Man's biceps, a Man's 'package.' What do these things have to do with defining our maturity? More often than not, the Man who focuses more on physical appearance is lacking in maturity.
Man thinks of material, attainable things. Very straightforward, simple, clear thinking is the way of Man. The end is the focus, for anything to achieve the end must be acceptable so long as the desired result is achieved. Acts of immorality, the unethical, the taboo, often falls under the works of man. Such is the Man's way of thinking.
Status is dictated by strength, with alpha being the most dominant and superior of man. Man is most similar to the animal, most comparably the lion. Pack mentality is strongly suited to explain Man, as the alpha dominates the herd, and his word reigns final.
Woman.
The thinkers, the supporters, the homemakers, the weak. Often times seen as fragile and delicate. Woman is known for her cunning mind and sharp wit, with a penchant for a great deal of mental stamina. Functional physicality mean very little, for the aesthetically appealing is what draws Woman. Beauty is a concept created by Woman and Woman alone.
The abstract and intangible is where Woman reigns supreme. Thoughts, feelings, emotions are her domain. And her weapon. Though not physically strong, a Woman's strength lies in the power of her words and thoughts. Intelligence is key, though seemingly overlooked by woman herself.
Woman is her own worst enemy, predominantly the largest threat to her mentality and self-esteem. Degrading standards set by Woman herself often bring her down with the slightest glance at another of her kind, for comparison and the social order is constantly swirling through her ever-changing thoughts.
The means justify the end, is Woman's opinion. Keeping order and tradition strike high on Woman's list of values. Etiquette and manners, pleasantries: these are the tools of a world Woman has crafted for herself.
Woman will look long into the future, often setting up fantasies and expectations that could never be achieved. Woman has a tendency to be fanciful, a daydreamer. Woman will always set high expectations of herself, while expecting better from those around her. Self-image is her currency, reputation her title.
Woman will overthink and over imagine, always coming up with impossible realities within the maze that is her mind. Complexity and patterns, that defines the mind of woman as, at times, she can confuse even herself.
Human
Quite different from both Man and Woman, Human has an ever-growing need to unite, or bring together. Peace and clarity is Human's goal, though Human is not entirely sure of how to achieve these things. Man and Woman are quite often enemies of Human, though they shares such close bonds. The relationship between Man, Woman, and Human is strained at best, used to their own advantage when the situation calls for it. While Man and Woman alike can be very manipulative and deceiving, Human does not care for such devious thoughts.
Human will quickly form bonds and friendships, despite large distances or apparent differences between individuals. Others see Human as kind and courteous indiscriminately.
Human is independant, while still retaining the need for other Human companionship and help. Human realizes that not everything can be done alone. Pride is lost upon Human. Things happen as they will happen, such is Human's way of thinking, and if Human can't do it all alone, then another Human is required to reach a desired result.
Human retains the opinions and values of being self-aware, and therefore will inevitably have differing thoughts from that of others. This does not deter Human, for debate and discussion is a frequent hobby. Communication is the primary focus, as is expanding and exercising the mind.
Human cares deeply for others, especially those close. Bonds and friendships are set on a pedestal, family even higher, and self-worth is valued most of all, for Human knows that each individual is different and therefore can not and should not be compared. Competition based on the likes of such trivial things is solely frowned upon by Human.
Frequently, Human wonders why Man and Woman cannot understand the values and aspects of Human, though there is no apparent changing of circumstance in the near future. Perhaps the spread of Human's thinking would change the minds of both Man and Woman, but for now, Human cannot do much more than wait and see what will happen. But it's alright, because Human is very patient.
