The things I'm grateful for...
1. My Mother.
2. Writing
I'm grateful to my mother for bringing me into this world, for showing me love, and for caring about my future. I'm grateful for a lot of things really, as it simply proves how much she's done for me. But above all that, I'm simply grateful for her being there. To being there when I cry, to sharing a laugh, and to encourage me for when I fall down. Even as I grow...even as my thoughts on the world around me darken, even as one by one everyone goes there separate ways. I am grateful that she'll always be there, and that in her eyes, no matter what, I am grateful that I'll always be her precious little boy.
I am grateful for my writing. Even as the world around me grows dull, and as the brief terms of emotion I feel grow shorter and shorter. I am grateful that writing can still show me how to feel. That as I form tales of my own creation, as the world in my thoughts grow by the second, I am grateful, that even if it by my own design, that my writing can still show me how to feel. How to cry, how to laugh, grow angry, as well as shocked. To remember how to feel such variety of emotions that all beings have, I am grateful to writing for keeping those experiences remembered. To keep me attached to this existence that I call life.
