(The character's here are mine and I request politely no one use them without permission, namely being Talon. The dragon I don't think I named. Thank you)
Talon and his dragon traveled along the forest path under the laced trees shade. There was silence between the two as they continued with Talon on its back. They had fled after he nearly killed his sister and his emotions were conflicting. The dragon glanced back to its rider before looking ahead once more. He took a breath and sighed quietly, releasing a little bit of smoke at the same time.
My master, are you sure what you did was truly required? She did not look as dangerous as the witch concluded to us. He thought in the mental link to his master.
"Yes, I'm sure. I need to kill her or she'll never learn to understand what I felt all those days ago in our childhood."
I looked into your memories when we made our bond and the way your memory spoke to me does not speak of malicious intent on her behalf towards you.
"That is not true!" Talon snapped sharply at the beast, lowering his head with his eyes narrowed on his dark blue scales. "She left me behind! She decided that stupid Water God was more important than me." He snarled while starting to grip a pair of the dragon's scales. "She is the one who needs to die for what she did. She turned her back on her family without so much as a care."
The dragon winced a little from the tug on his scales and expanded his wings a little before folding them back in. My rider, he quickly clears his throat once he felt a hard pull on his scales. My apologizes, my master, please reconsider this and rethink your desires. I can understand you want her to hurt but you shouldn't dismiss what Water God Ginsu said about your family. Why would he lie about you only having Alura left?
"Because he's a lazy idiot who stole my sister from me."
The dragon sighed while releasing smoke from his nostrils. My master...please listen to me for once instead of the Wind witch. He groaned while lowering his head in irritation. I know she brought us together but you need to stop listening to her and listen to your dragon who has seen inside your mind, who can feel what you do and understands what you are feeling. Talon frowned listening to this. I know you want her to feel the pain you felt while she spent time with Ginsu but, on the other hand, you did spend more time with Hiatsu after you met him. Wouldn't you then be guilty of the same thing you are accusing her of?
"No! I'm nothing like her!" the teen snapped and punched the dragon in the back of the neck beside one of his spikes. The dragon momentarily paused before continuing on while suppressing a deadly growl. "That's right, remain silent and understand what your master is telling you."
The only reason you aren't dead for that action is because I would die as well. The dragon thought out of their mental link.
They continued on for several more minutes before entering a clearing and the dragon stopped when the reins were pulled on. Talon got off and walked to the other side of the clearing with the dragon following behind. "I....I do want her to feel the loneliness and hurt I felt..." he began softly as he gaze caught sight of some violet colored lilies. "...I want her to hurt and I need her to hurt. If she dies then I get my need....and my want."
But...?
"...it would upset mom too much." Talon answered quietly, the words barely leaving his lips. There was silence aside from the steps of the dragon nearing to his master and softly nuzzled his back with his nose. "...but she needs to die..."581Please respect copyright.PENANALedT8J9FHf
What will that accomplish and grant you, my master? Talon was silent as he stared at the lilies. The dragon waited then continued when he got no answer for a few more moments. It would grant you nothing but the loss of a family member and if she is truly the last of your immediate family, you would be alone blood wise. Let her be and end this desire for her death as instructed by the witch.
"If I don't kill her then what do I do to make her pay?"
You have already injured her, my master. You have caused her emotional pain, the same as you had suffered. This means you have gained what you wanted, you have gained the knowledge now that she feels as you had in the past. The dragon tried to explain and was hopeful this would be reasonable enough to get his mind to change.
"She might feel the pain but she needs to suffer more as does he and the others who helped keep her away from me."
You know how possessive you sound right now, my master? he questioned concerned. Perhaps we could speak to Ginsu and ask him or Hiatsu the status of your parents. If you find them I'm sure they could explain and help you punish your sister if need is truly there.
Talon was silent again and proceeded to walk ahead before turning and sitting down near a wall of woven trees. "I don't know." He touched his arm that held the tattoo like spell mark. He winced as it glowed and sparked, causing him to grit his teeth in pain.
Master! The dragon tried to help by nuzzling his arm and curled up as he laid down, gently using a wing to motion and guide his rider to lay down with him. Talon complied and fell to his knees then back to rest against the dragon's side. He was trying to not make a sound while gripping his upper arm tightly. The dragon watched with helplessness as he couldn't help remove the mark. Even though he felt the pain his master was, it wasn't any comfort that he could not help. After a few moments the mark quieted down and Talon released it with a bit of a heaviness to his breathing. Are you alright, my master?
Talon nodded softly and opened his eyes partially to look to the dragon. "I'm fine. I'm...going to take a nap." He whispered and closed his eyes, relaxing against the beast.
The dragon nodded and laid his head down between his front legs with one wing extending to help shield this rider from the hot sunlight. Rest well, my master. I will keep watch as you recover. He said softly in their link before scanning the area carefully. Maybe someone can end the witch and free you from her curse. Maybe then we can know the other without magic involved. He thought to himself outside of the link. Maybe then you can see that what you want is for her to say she is sorry and to try making it up to you by spending time with you now. He thought while giving a sympathetic look to Talon who was resting peacefully with even breathing.581Please respect copyright.PENANAaXWfBYtMCf
