I smiled softly and sang the last few notes. My room resounded with my voice and the last noted sounded.
“ Marilyn dear, you are late.” My mother came into the room and smiled softly.
I looked at the time and gasped. Running to the dressing room, I changed quickly, putting my jeans and hoodie back on. I passed near my mother and kissed her cheek.
“ Don’t be late.” She said.
“ I won’t.”
As I ran down the stairs my big brother shook his head and exited from the door.
“ Hey! Wait for me.”
“ Don’t run Marilyn.” My father said from the other room.
“ I can’t promise that,” I said as I sprinted from the door.

I grabbed my bike and tried to catch up with him. When I turned the corner, he was already surrounded by girls.
