Rustle rustle.
I closed my eyes as the oak tree rustled above me, its sound soothing me. Calming me. Under the oak tree above the hill, faraway from people, from everything, was my haven.
This was the only place where I am much safer than my own home.
In here, I get to be me. The real me. I'm not always the bubbly girl that I am with my friends, I have to fake sometimes so there wouldn't be any questions raised.
Rustle rustle.
Crunch.
I felt someone hovering over me, its entire presence enveloping me like a warm blanket. I smiled through closed eyes and melted in the ambiance. The oak tree, its fallen leaves, the grass beneath my palm, the stars above the dark sky - everything in this place was my lullaby.
"Hey."
Oh, and him.
