The storm was getting worse and the snow felt like a thousand little knives instead of soft kisses from heaven. The cafe at the end of the street, Clare's, lit up and that made Zoe want to go in even more. She walked a bit more and finally reached the ad covered door. She seemed so small compared to the door and realising that she was standing in front of it in the cold she proceeded to walk in. The second she walked in she was hugged by the warmth, and the smell of hot chocolate made her feel as if she was floating.432Please respect copyright.PENANA8im4mIurIo
The Christmas tree at the corner of the cafe was lit up and the small buzz of voices made her feel as if she belonged.432Please respect copyright.PENANAfIOVUyoT8h
She went and sat down at table 13. People would think that it was an unlucky number. To her it was just the table that she always sat at. This table was special for the sole purpose that it was by the heater. She sat down at the table and took out her laptop and her sketchbook. Matt, the cute guy that sat behind the counter came up to her.
"The usual?" he asked
"yep." she replied.
Caramel whipped cream latte. Perfect.
As he walked away she opened her sketchbook. As she opened it a note fell out.
It read:
Dear Zoe,
It's me, Liv432Please respect copyright.PENANAlnb4hrWT5O
I'm sorry about what happened... I'm really, really sorry I know how much he meant to you. I just got carried away...432Please respect copyright.PENANAUhvZOowKrp
I'm sorry. I love you so much and losing you as a friend has been like I've lost a part of me.432Please respect copyright.PENANAnsMOQYRRi3
FAF? (forgive and forget)
A tear stain covered the bottom corner of the note.
Zoe had read the note over a thousand times after her best friends funeral. After her best friend had been lifted into the clouds. Zoe blamed herself everyday.
Zoe's boyfriend had cheated on her with Liv. Zoe had never forgiven Liv and in the end Liv's life had become so miserable that she took her own life.
Zoe felt the least she could do was write a book about their friendship. Every page of her sketchbook was filled with pictures and drawing of Liv. Zoe had, had so many nightmares that she would forget what Liv, looked like and smelled like. What her voice sounded like. Zoe's cuddly toy was Liv's favorite t-shirt. Every morning she sprayed it with Liv's perfume.432Please respect copyright.PENANAJ37Ue8FU0Z
They had been friends since they were two years old and when Liv died Zoe felt that her life wasn't worth anything anymore. 432Please respect copyright.PENANAHWXqOBdXLy
Until Clare's.432Please respect copyright.PENANAjHZpFJXZYe
That cafe made her feel the kind of warmth that Liv made her feel. Liv had been the person that would make her laugh until her stomach hurt. The person that she talked with for hours at sleepovers and the person that she was always caught talking to in class.
She opened her laptop and started writing.432Please respect copyright.PENANAFPF2lsfnQU
Three hours passed by and three caramel whipped cream latte's and a cookie had been consumed.432Please respect copyright.PENANAui87CbQqQ8
In the end Matt walked up to her and as always told her that they were closing. She packed up her things and as always before she left she picked up the RESERVED sign that she had hidden behind the heater and put it on the table, before she walked out.432Please respect copyright.PENANAKFPw47ZI4o
