The post office employee tried to correct his spelling and said: "It's Jonathan. J-o-n-a-t-h-a-n."406Please respect copyright.PENANAnTmGgCR5i3
"Doesn't make any difference." Jonathan responded nonchalantly.

The room was quiet and neither of them had anything to say. They were sitting in front of the fireplace. He was looking out of the window, calm and dispassionate, waiting for him to show up.
After a minute, the young girl started again and asked him : "Jonathan, what dreams do you see when you sleep?" She was staring at him for a couple of seconds.
"I don't see dreams." He answered with a sustained ease, his eyes still.
She stared at the fire sparks jumping out of the fireplace, then asked: "How's it like, not seeing any dreams?"
Johnatton stretched out his hands to warm them and answered: "It's the same as sleeping."

His motionless body was indistinguishable in the dark as he was holding his knees sitting against the wall. A flood of muddy water was running under the bridge. Johnattan was curled up in the dirt. The raining on that cloudy afternoon was still going on. A lightning let him see the transparent clouds hiding in the sky. He took a piece of mud, put it on the wall and rested his head.
A car crossed the bridge.

"I'm Jane." She said, staring into his unreadable eyes again one more time. It was strange to her, his disconnection with the environment. The dish was getting cold.
He turned his face to Jane who still had her doubts about inviting him in and said: "He's not home yet."
The fireplace had brightened the room, and his face was the only visible part of his body, reflecting the room's light.

"Give me a shiny one." Johnattan said to the old man behind the luxurious counter and stared into the ocean. A silhouette of the city's suspension bridge was apparent in the yellow sky.
The old man asked again, unsure about what he was looking for: "Sir, do you have anything in mind?"
"No. Being flashy is enough." He gave him a short answer and looked back at the bridge's silhouette. It was gone, the daylight; and so was the silhouette.

He stretched his arm to shake hands with her: "I'm his brother."
"You look much younger than him." She said holding his hand, which was as warm as hers.
He put his other hand on hers and replied: "It's the water," and looked into her eyes.

"A cruise ship." He broke the chain of questions.
"I see. How'd you pay then?" The Asian man behind the desk waited for his answer. The small mud stains on Johnattan's waiter suit had dried. A neon lamp was on the wall behind the Asian man and the room had no windows.
"I'll pay in cash." He clarified, standing in the middle of the room.
"Cash, you say... Show me." He smirked checking his phone.
Johnattan showed him a folded dollar bill and put it in a basket on the desk.
"What do you need it for?" The Asian man took one of the identically designed boxes behind him.
"My brother." He said, waiting for him as he took a piece of jerky out of his pocket.
He finished packing the blue flowers and handed it over to him; "The door's downstairs. Don't come to this place, next time."
He chewed on the jerky and stepped outside of that room that was filled with plants.406Please respect copyright.PENANA6Fz7Mlb5bm

"It must be freezing outside. You want a..." She found the word, "drink?"
Johnattan's eyes were focused on her face. He grabbed the black bottle on the table and told her: "A choice leads to its certain consequences."
"That's a no." She took the bottle and put it in the cabinet behind them.
"An explanation. I'm Jonathan," He found a scar under her chin and continued: "Jane."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You don't wanna talk, I see." She put her hand on her chin and started tapping her fingers on the table.
"Would you drink something else?" She stopped the rhythm.
He pulled his fists out of his pocket and told her: "Jane, give me a glass of water."
"I had a nightmare. And I thought, I found someone I can have a talk with. Do you think it would leave me alone if I talk it out?" She said putting her hand on her chin again.
"It's only an abstract picture in your mind." And his eyes met his watch, with a steady movement.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'm his housekeeper." She added.
He checked the room asking: "When will he be back?" He then released her hand.
She took a look at his glossy suit and responded: "In about 30 minutes. You can wait in the living room." Then she took the flowers from him and put them on a chair in front of the fireplace.
He closed the door as he stepped in the room and said: "Sure."

A car crossed the bridge. It stopped a moment after it hit the corpse of a fox. It took no longer than a minute that the old woman realized the fox is dead, left the corpse and drove away.
