I was walking down the street when I see a huge dustbin. You know, really huge. In a penguin shape. I waved it off but that wasn’t it. I found them everywhere. Literally. But, that doesn’t conclude it even. They were talking in some gibberish language. I couldn’t understand why but I often have people pooping around and talking in some uncanny verbal expressions.
Anyway, I started running into an alley when I realized that those dustbins weren’t penguins anymore. They had already transitioned into some ghostly creatures I couldn’t recognize. They were translucent dirty green. They had black drool dripping from their vast mouths and bore hundreds of sharp yellow finger-like projections. Teeth. Ugh. Disgusting.
Even in misery my stupid brain couldn’t help but think whether they brushed their teeth or not. I let out a chuckle. Suddenly I was transported to some clearing in a jungle. The jungle seemed a local one as I could see settlements in the other side. I looked down at my clothes that should be covered in dirt at the moment to find that I was wearing a roman attire that fit me like a glove. I felt something cold in my hands. To my utter surprise, I was holding a ruby hilted sword and a silver shield.
I could hear a waterfall in my vicinity. I followed my instincts and the sound and reached my destination. But, I wasn’t alone. There were three other girls and who were there. They stood exactly in front of the waterfall and adoring themselves in it like a mirror. They were talking. In English. Thank heavens! Someone was actually speaking the language I understood. I approached them quietly. They were speaking along the lines, “The legend says that only the most beautiful girl in the world can make this mirror shine and open the door to the chamber of the angels. I will open it. You’ll see.”
I stood there and saw them take their turns. I wanted to roll on my stomach and laugh but that wouldn’t be a good sight in this lovely dress. I knew I was dreaming. Then I let out a giggle. Their attention was diverted. Towards me. I was about to turn away when one of them caught my arm and said, “Hey! What are you laughing at? Do you think you are beautiful? You are nothing compared to us. Only the most beautiful girl in this world, not to mention, an eligible heiress to the thrones of the three dimensions and open this door and cross it. Don’t you understand?”
I was laughing hard by the time she finished her by heart speech. I simply pushed her aside and stood in front of the waterfall. It shone so bright that if I hadn’t close my eyes that moment, I would’ve gone blind. I stepped in the now formed passage and saw an alluring angel with wings of velvet looking feathers. I followed her to the mirror and saw myself. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I rubbed them to make sure but it didn’t change the fact that I was indeed good-looking. Good way to boost my already Everest high ego. I was compelled to go through the one-way mirror looking glass. I was amidst the clouds. But it was too late when I realized that I didn’t have any wings. I was falling.
That’s how I woke up. Falling. But, soon enough I fell again. I fell asleep.
