A post-apocalyptic wasteland of grey I was to call my neighbourhood. White fur skin rugs displayed proudly in front of small yards, not a footprint in sight. The sprinkle of... cold, white salt? I don't know what the hell it was. It just rained from the sky. The only trait I could associate with the strange salt was it's distasteful ice-cold feel.693Please respect copyright.PENANA5iZVsGu8zF

The transportation I rode in slowly wheeled along the road like a broken trolley, careful as ever. Two strangers sat in front, murmuring conversation.693Please respect copyright.PENANAHokFq9RX3c

This was weird. It didn't feel right at all. The desolate atmosphere of it my presence feel unwelcome. Of course, I was quite used to that. Certainly a change from galactic conquests that howled over this pathetic Earth. It was pathetic, truly.693Please respect copyright.PENANA1kuuUpyhJA

I am like a supreme figure in the galaxy, like a space ranger that commits mass homicide for my own benefit and pleasure. Now look at me, sent on a lowly mission as an Earth orphan to obtain something these particular 'people' owned. Something they weren't to own.
This wasn't any ol' space junk that crashed from the skies and looked 'cool' enough to be a mantlepiece. This was the database pod that had fallen from the control centre on the ship, and is the fundamental centre of our operation. Luckily it had been encrypted for safety purposes, but that wouldn't stop humans from discovering our secrets. But for now, it was my job to secure it.
"We're here, sweetheart." The lady in front announced, stepping out of the vehicle. She smiled from the window and motioned from the window for me to come out, so I did as asked. I'll suck up to them, and strike at the right time.
The man got out too, and we all strode in silence, over the piles of salt and into the deplorable little cottage of a house. Human simplicity was too bland for my taste.
The interior was devoid of any colour, and had a musty, almost suffocating smell. All the curtains were shut, and no source of light could possibly find it's way inside. I scrunch my nose at the sight, making sure to raise the woman's attention.
"Oh honey, I'm sorry about this. You'll get used to it." She assured. "Would you like some water?" She squeezed my shoulder, and I winced at it's touch. Gross. Humans felt weird, all mushy and soft. She was fully aware of my tension, and left to the kitchen without another word.
Now it was only me, this was my perfect chance. I pressed my temple, and with a sudden jerk, my sight inked into a deep green. My eyes squinted in concentration as they scanned the room. My scanner beeped instantaneously, which was odd. Turns out these 'guardians' weren't very good at guarding. 693Please respect copyright.PENANA44icDaPqFy
There the pod sat on the mahogany dining table, glowering in my direction. This was all too easy. I skipped forward with a smirk, swiftly swiping the ornament.
"Put that back." A stiff voice breathed behind me. That damned woman. 693Please respect copyright.PENANA5lYEiMR9bx
"You'd better listen to me, young lady. You live under our roof now." Her grip was shaking from it's tightness around the glass of water she held.
I wasn't in the mood for this bullshit. And neither was she.
Ever so slightly, I saw her eyes break my stare, and look up. That was my opportunity to whip around and cock my weapon toward the man's forehead. He looked old, and tired. Not that I cared. 693Please respect copyright.PENANAN4u9fyxJtl
I pulled the trigger without remorse, and the air shattered into cacophony. He hollered as he stumbled to the floor. I didn't give him a second thought, as I spun around and shot at the woman. She too, cried in agony and tumbled to the floor. When all was silent, I identified a new issue.
Oh shit.
They're supposed to disintegrate, not spurt red liquid like a broken hose.
I hugged the pod close and thrusted my fingertips into my temple and squeezed my eyes shut.

This villain was totally screwed.
