He jumped at the sound, but couldn't keep the grin from spreading on his face. It was time! He trot up to the sturdy feet and tugged on a dusty pantleg. "Oh, right this way." 1193Please respect copyright.PENANAXoZ8DPNecG
And he walked into the light. Spotlights trailed down, down, until they reflected on his metallic frame. He motioned offstage, and a pile of screws, metal plates, among several other pieces of scrap were carried by large black boots that clacked against the floor. A mountain of potential before him. Time to get to work.1193Please respect copyright.PENANAOJBTz9LSOu
The sleek feel of the steel plate between his metal fingers, the coolness it radiated a welcome sensation. He clicked his right thumb like a lighter, and blue flames rocketed out into a fine point. A deliberate graze along the edge, as delicate as a skater on the ice; the plate melted and reeked of burnt garbage. He quickly extended another arm to grab the next piece of scrap, another plate, and finely stuck the two together. That was the easy part. He took another deep breath; in...out. 1193Please respect copyright.PENANAzmAqukH5RE
Faster than a strike of lightning, his arms extended to another piece, then another, and so on until metal pieces of scrap and wires were dancing in the air. He juggled and fired plasma beams that, when they hit, burst lights bright as fireworks that lit up the stage like a tropical summer night. An explosion of vibrant violets and turbulant turquoise fizzed out into the crowd - a rainbow of expressions he'd never seen before.1193Please respect copyright.PENANAze7c7gd3Z9
As the fireworks died out, the finished product gently fell to the ground. An orb, shiny and new, that couldn't have possibly been made from such garbage materials rested center stage. He dusted off his hands, shaking the heat off and admiring his work. Now, the final touch. He climbed on top, legs dangling off the edge, and pressed a steady palm to the front, where a joystick-like control lay. Instantly, the orb juttered and shook, rising from a long sleep, and took off into the air with the urgency of a toddler that REALLY needed the bathroom. His body slammed against the orb, and with great strength he kept the oil from leaking out his sockets. A gentle nudge and the orb became calm, gently hovering in the air. Another poke and it glided off the stage and into the crowd - blurring past a dozen faces and spinning gleefully. He flew up and around, the wind whistling a victory theme in his honour. And still, the grin never left his face.
(Author's Note: Little Tekken will be found in a story I'm currently procrastinating, er, PLANNING right now. Stay tuned.)
