These are what I call "The Basics", things I use every day to better myself. Right now I'm just doing a list, but future bits of advice will be done in paragraphs and real life stuff I go through and all that jazz. 1169Please respect copyright.PENANAVKxm86tEbq

1: Be Respectful: That's legit all you need to do to keep people from absolutely hating you. No, I'm not kidding. People preach all the time that no one is the same, and you know what, they're right. That in itself should help you resist the temptation to judge. Yes, it's in our nature to judge. We may not agree on everything, but that shouldn't make anyone hate another person. There's a reason I'm not hated, and if I am, everyone keeps it very well hidden. 1169Please respect copyright.PENANAskOmgaq5kc
2: Be Comfortable: Forget being confident, be comfortable. You want to school in sweat pants, a huge t-shirt, and a mess of hair on your head? Do it. Peoples opinions legit don't matter, not to me and nor should they to anyone else. If you're more comfortable in one thing or doing one thing other people may not agree with, go for it. Being comfortable means being happy, and is the biggest feeder of confidence. 1169Please respect copyright.PENANA3sAOkHivCi
3: Relax: A friend and I have this thing we call "off days", where we just don't go to school for a day. We both have anxiety/depression, and school is hell for us. If it gets too much or heading that way, we take a day off. There's no shame in just relaxing when life wants to murder you as it so often does. You happiness should be the most important thing because it contributes to everything.
4: Think: Something I've been seeing a lot of lately is that a lot of people don't think for themselves anymore. They don't. More often than not, someone tells them something, and they automatically get with it, especially concerning media. Media blares something out (which is often twisted, mind you) and everyone is suddenly against the police department. Yes, racism and police brutality do still exist, but no where near the amount media presents it. The thing about media is that they focus on the bad. Relying fully on media or anyone/anything else is quite simply a big mistake. 1169Please respect copyright.PENANA7bBRNG9frR
5: Make the Truth Your Own: My personal favorite and tied in with number four, only you can believe something. Yes, people sway you and tell you things, but you have the power to decide what's true and what's lie or half true/half lie. Why do you believe something? Because you hold it as true. No one else can tell you otherwise. (I did not explain this point well, but I hope the point gets across.) 1169Please respect copyright.PENANAQhe63Yforq
Those are my five big points. I hope they help someone out there, or not. I just felt like putting this out there, just in case.
Love you all,
JR.
