Hey ya'll! It's spooky season, so naturally there's going to be some scarier contests coming out to participate in. Anyways, the challenge for this contest is to write a short story with the give prompt. 

Prompt: You are home alone in your bedroom when you hear glass shatter in the living room. Gruff voices can be heard, and you realize that the intruders are checking all the rooms for residents. Your room isn't next, but they'll be there soon. Do you choose to fight your way out? Call the police and hope they arrive in time? Attempt to outsmart the threat by relying on your wit? All this is up to you.

Well there you have it. The word range is 500-1000 words.
