A severe fear of spiders
I encountered my first spider at the age of four, as it was climbing across a small table in my bedroom. It spun around in circles and started to form a web across one of the drawers. I was terrified and screamed for my Mum to run in and dispose of it, despite the fact that she has the same fear as me. Spiders move so quickly and their webs can become so long and thick. You see, in horror movies, or even episodes of Scooby Doo a multitude of dust patches and a spider, or two, crawling across the characters making them release blood-curling screams. It creeps me out. Now in the present day, I'm still far too scared to look underneath my bed or under my wardrobe for fear of them launching out onto my skin. There have been moments when I press my bare foot down onto the carpet and stepped on one. Some of them feel furry, although not soft like my cats. I'm scared one of those spiders is watching me type this now.
