He walked alone the winding path of the forest, his yellow umbrella shielding him from the rain that poured from the grey skies above. It seemed to be fitting, considering the mood he was in. He was depressed; feeling as if his world would crumble apart any second now. He felt as if he had no one to turn to, that no one would understand the pain he was going through. He had thought that he had it all going for him; his life planned out. He had a girlfriend, who he loved enough to want to have and to hold for the rest of their lives, but life threw a curveball at him and she had been killed in an accident.
He had the perfect job as well. Making tons of money, but also having enough time to have been able to spend it with her and their future children when they came around. But another curveball came at him and he had been fired from his job for something that he didn't do. Still, he kept pride in him to do his best to search for a way around the mountains that had been faced in front of him. He had no idea where his life would be going now. He didn't have much faith in the fact that he had a future. He had many fears and doubts about what he would do; how to overcome the mountain that he was placed in front of.
He continued walking down the path and as he did, the young dark haired man felt tears swell up in his eyes, but he forced them down. He didn't need to cry, he was stronger than that. Instead, he pressed on down the path, not really having a final destination in his mind. As he continued walking, he wondered if there was anyone who could help him take the pain away that he was feeling. Was there any way that he could feel grace? Was there any strength left in him to find faith and to hold on to it, knowing that tomorrow would be a better day?
As the rain continued to pour down his face, he finally reached the end of his path where it split in to a fork. He had no idea which way to go and as he thought about which path to take, he felt sorrow in his heart. It was as if he was trying to decide where to let his life take him...again. He could go left; the path that seemed narrow and jagged or he could go right, where the path was smooth and wide. Not knowing where to go and finally letting his sorrow overcome him, the young man collapsed to his knees and he broke down in tears. He felt his heart shatter in to a million pieces as if the puzzle of his life had been too messed up to put back together.
He didn't know how long he had been crying for but as he did, he found himself yelling up towards the dark skies.1037Please respect copyright.PENANADm8HRpKHX6

He knelt down towards the earth and his hands grasped at the mud in front of him. He felt as if he was doomed for sudden destruction at any minute. Suddenly, the rain stopped and the heavens opened, letting the light pour through the trees in the forest. The sunlight rested on his face and he felt its warmth as he continued to grieve. Coming up on his knees and wiping away his tears, the young man looked towards the path on the right where the light shone brightly on it. Seeing it, wondered what would be so bad about heading that way. Where would it take him if he took it? He pondered it as if it was his life. For the first time since he had started his walk, he was beginning to think clearly.1037Please respect copyright.PENANAilRCCimQRf
He had lost the girl who he wanted to marry yes; but the accident that happened wasn't her fault. Thinking about it, he realized that she was too perfect to stay on the earth. He felt a weight lift off of his heart as he came to find peace in knowing that she was alright up in the heavens now. He had been fired, but that didn't mean he still couldn't find a job. In fact, he could find somewhere else better to work. Another weight felt lifted off of him. The more he pondered his future, the more he could start to feel weights lifted off of him and peace filled his heart. 1037Please respect copyright.PENANAqudplpOVRH
As he finally started to feel peace, another painful feeling emitted through him, but it wasn't emotional or spiritual. It felt more physical than anything and it was coming from his backside. He knew what this was and he didn't fight the pain. It was something that he thought would never come, but he had been proven wrong. It was his wings; the wings that he had finally earned. He had been placed on the earth to learn something, he didn't know what it was at first. But as he felt his wings grow in, he finally knew what it was. As he had gone through his heart break and his pondering, the young man came to realize that he had to learn humility. He had been so prideful before and arrogant. But he had been broken and in turn, he finally succumbed to the humility within him. 1037Please respect copyright.PENANAjrOHUCySSc
As his wings took full form, the young dark haired man looked up towards the heavens and for a minute, he was sure that he saw her angelic face smiling down on him as if to say that she was proud of him for finally choosing what to make of his life. Smiling, he got to his feet, wiped the rest of his tears away and picked up his umbrella as he headed down the straight and wide path to the right.1037Please respect copyright.PENANAgZXPRtzbQQ
