I leaned over the physician, staring down at Masaru. "Will he be okay?"
"Yes. He just needs to rest, and drink plenty of water. His body will naturally expel the drug, so don't worry. If he starts puking or shows signs of a fever, send for me. I live at the estate west of this one."
"Why would he start puking or having signs of a fever?" He sighed, backing away from Masaru's bed. "There's a poison that can be paired with the drug he was slipped. It tastes and smells just like alcohol. Slow acting. It'll cause high fever and severe nausea. If not taken care of when symptoms show up- it will kill within a few days. Now I should be off. Blessings be with you."
I gave a small nod, "Same to you." The Physician then bowed and left, leaving me in the heavy atmosphere.
Ena, I will watch over him, and alert you if something comes up. However I doubt he was poisoned. I sense nothing of the sort within him. He'll be bright eyed by sun rise. So go rest. Your training begins soon.
"I understand. Thank you, Eranar." I waited for a response, but recieved nothing. So I groggily left to my room, occasionally passing servants that smiled and congratulated me on catching the assassin. I didn't know how to respond, so I gave a nod. It was the only thing I could do.

I woke right before the sun began to rise, and changed into what I thought would be the most appropriate for any sort of training. A simple, yet bright gold silk shirt, matching trousers, and a pair of black slippers. It was the closest I could get to training wear with what I had.
Wandering through the halls to find the dining room, I found myself almost in a trance- staring out into nothing, fury and flame wanting to consume me.
Control it. You're the Master over your inner fire.
I pushed down my emotion and with it my fire. "Sorry, Ru- I mean- Eranar. Was it like this for Masaru when he was a Blade?"
Yes. Like most Rubeus Blades and Generals he struggled greatly controlling the fire, along with his emotions. Actually he had much more difficulty gaining his stability than you.
"Why is that?"
I noticed that human males struggle with controlling their anger more than most women. I can only assume its due to that.
"Ena!" I spun on my toe to face the incoming General, dressed in the exact same clothing as me- except it was colored a deep red. "Yes? How are you feeling?"
"I'm well. I heard that you saved the Imperial family last night. Is that true?"
I nodded. "Then well done. But don't let it get to your head. You can be much better." I put a hand on my hip, grinning, "says the one who struggled with control and gaining stability more than me."
He laughed, "uh-huh. Thing is, I was also young-"
"You're nineteen. One year older than me."
"Younger... Nevermind. I refuse to argue on an empty stomach. Let's go eat." I chuckled, following him to the Dining Room.

"You won't be doing any physical training unlike the other Blades. Instead, it's strictly spiritual for now." I looked to him, as we walked down a nearby forest trail, ready to ask why. But my unspoken question was quickly answered. "The stronger your spirit- the more powerful you become. Once your soul is one with the power you were given... And your spirtual connection to your ancestors cannot be broken- I'll be testing you. Clear?"
"Perfectly," I said looking up at his focused face. I couldn't help but look at his enchanting eyes- which I immediately regretted. He turned and stopped walking, "we're about to reach the temple. When you enter, meditate, focus on your ancestors, not me or anyone else," he winked. I turned away, my face heating up. "Duh." 340Please respect copyright.PENANAVyDEdyMd1k

He chuckled, walking once more. I groaned, shuffling my feat. He's such an ass.
Soon we reached a small stone temple, with open walls and large marble slabs at each pillar- up to six in total. The place was breath taking, being surrounded by cherry blossom trees, and wild ivy. It was the definition of perfect calm. "I assume you know how to meditate?"
I nodded, "Its a common practice. Why wouldn't I know how?"
"No idea. But believe me, you'd be surprised by how many people that don't know how. Go 'head and start meditating on the floor of the temple. I'll be watching nearby."
"Understood," I said before I walked into the temple and sat down. I centered my hands in my lap, allowing my body to relax. My soul has to become one with the power i was gifted... My spirtual connection cannot be broken. But how will I achieve that with just meditation?
"You're doubtful," Masaru shouted. I instantly tensed up, turning to face him. "Relax, and think on who your ancestors are."
"I don't know who they are! I have never been taught the deep history of my family line. Only that we- they have always been Lords and Ladies."
"Not always. Listen, Ena. As I have said in the past- you are more than what you think you are. That is one of the many reasons I chose you to be my blade. Don't relate yourself to the ones you know! Focus on aspects of yourself instead of your ancestors. Through that you will find bits of your heritage- maybe even past lives."
"What aspects should I focus on? How does that even work?"
"You'll figure it out."
"But-"
"No!" I flinched, watching him get up from his spot on the soft grass, walking towards me with deadly calm. I could almost say he was more terrifying than my father. "Remember who you're speaking to," he gritted out.
"I can be very friendly, lenient, and laid back but I am your General,' He whispered, leaning close to my face- eyes cold. "When I say you'll figure it out- leave it at that." Then his eyes softened, gentle and kind. He was right. We may be attracted to each other and all but I still had to treat him like the General he is- at least during my training. I smiled thinking on how I would get back at him for what happened earlier- of course after my spiritual training. "What's with the smile?"
"Oh nothing."
"Its something."
I winked, "You'll figure it out." His face and neck turned a shade of red, though he was clearly fighting it. Chuckling I said, "Nevermind. I got what I wanted." His eye twitched but he grinned, "Get back to meditating."340Please respect copyright.PENANAcsJvNI2kG7
