"So Josie will be here for an extended amount of time. She's to be comfortable and most importantly protected. Any questions?" Blake asked his staff later that night. He was addressing his right hand man, Roland and his live in house keeper, Janice.

Roland has been with Blake since the very beginning of his run as a CEO. Blake knew he needed to hire someone that he could trust for all his professional and sometimes personal needs. Roland made sure Blake had protection from the media and was also kept safe from any other business men with vendettas against him. Blake's work sometimes hurt others financially and put companies out of business. Anyone that encountered Blake usually had to go through Roland first. He had about 20 years on Blake but treated his boss with respect and did as he was told. Roland also was well aware of Blake's extracurricular activities with his paid escorts and made sure there was an ironclad contract with the company that hired them to make sure all the girls kept quiet after their evening with Blake. Roland had been a former secret service agent to a former President and when his term was over and he got an offer from Blake Ashby he knew he would make more money than any government job could pay. Working for Blake was no easy task but he certainly made it financially worth it. Blake trusted him with his life and was now trusting him with Josie's.

"Sir?" Roland asked stepping forward with his hands firmly behind his back, a position he normally stood at. "May I ask who Ms. Bennett is supposed to be protected from?"

"Need to know basis, Roland." Blake responded shortly.

"With all due respect Mr. Ashby, it's going to be hard to protect the young lady if I don't know who I should be looking out for." Roland spoke up.

Blake sighed, he had a point. "Vito Bucitella. I assume you heard of him?" Roland nodded in confirmation that he had. "Well unfortunately Trevor's father got wrapped up in some trouble with him. So while Trevor deals with that on his end, his sister needs protection."

"I already have contacted a private security company to send over a couple more men after we spoke this morning, Sir." Roland responded.

"Good, make sure you check them out throughly." Blake ordered, "Trev is trusting us on her protection. Nothing slips through the cracks on this one. Understood?"

"Of course Sir." Roland said turning on his heels to get a status on the additional security he was to be interviewing.

Blake then turned to Janice. She was a sweet woman in her mid-50. In a lot of ways she reminded Blake of his mother. She was a fantastic cook and made sure Blake's penthouse was always spotless. Blake wasn't as short with her as he was with Roland but still maintained a strict employer/employee relationship with her. "Janice when Josie arrives please make sure you find out what she likes and see to it that the kitchen is stocked with it. She is to be comfortable here."

"Absolutely, Sir. Shall I make up the guest room downstairs for her?" Janice asked.

The penthouse was massive and had a few different guest rooms in addition to Blake's master bedroom. Blake thought for a moment at the question. Just because Josie was staying didn't mean for a second that he was going to be stopping his entertainment with women so it would be for the best if she wasn't on the top floor near his room. He definitely prided himself on making his dates for the evening scream. "Yes, that room will be fine. Thank you Janice."

Trevor pulled his Bentley onto Franklin Street. Josie who was pouting in the passengers seat with her arms crossed in annoyance looked up at the Millennium Tower. It was the most elite residential complex in all of Boston and stood an impressive 60 stories in the skyline and now it was to be Josie's new home. Her brother still wasn't giving her any information and she was getting awfully sick of him acting so damn weird.

Trevor threw on his turn signal and pulled into the guest parking garage underneath the tower. "Name?" The security guard asked in front of the gate. "Trevor Bennett. Here for Blake Ashby." The guard quickly checked his list and waved them through.

The Bennett siblings traveled up the elevator in silence until Trevor finally couldn't take it anymore. "I know you don't understand but I am doing this to protect you." He said in a soft voice.

"Protect me from what?!" She exclaimed. "I'm not a little kid anymore Trev!"

"Just please trust me Jo. Please." He said turning to her in an almost pleading tone.

Once they reached the top floor the doors opened to the most gorgeous apartment Josie had ever seen. "Holy shit." She mumbled under her breath as she followed her brother out. "Mr.Bennett, how are you?" Roland greeted walking into the living area where the elevator opened up to.

"Roland! How ya doing?!" Trevor greeted warmly with a handshake.

"Can't complain." He responded then turned towards the young woman in the room, "And you must be Ms. Bennett. I'm Roland."

"Please call me Josie." She answered shaking Roland's hand, "Are you Blake's assistant?" She asked.

Trevor laughed, there really wasn't a proper title for Roland. "He's kinda a Jack of all trades for Blake."

"Guess that's a good way to put it." A deep voice came from around the corner. Blake entered his living area. He was dressed a bit more causal than when Josie had seen him earlier. In dark jeans and a white polo that tightened around his arms, Josie's gaze lingered a little longer than it probably should have.

"Sir, I'll get Ms. Bennett's things to her room." Roland interrupted taking the small suitcase from Josie.

Blake noted the size of the bag, "That all you brought with you?" He questioned.

"I don't plan on staying long. Just long enough to humor the two of you." She said rolling her eyes.

"Josie!" Trevor snapped, "You'll stay here for as long as needed."

Blake sensed a sibling fight brewing so decided to step in. "Your room is down the hall to the right. Kitchen is fully stocked so help yourself. There's a pool and gym downstairs for all the residents but I have my own private gym upstairs you're welcomed to."

"Thanks but I don't need a babysitter." Josie spat rolling her eyes and plopping down on Blake's black leather couch.
The longtime friends exchanged uneasy looks, "She won't be any trouble, man." Trevor said hoping his sister just did what she was told for once in her life.278Please respect copyright.PENANAIW9CgWdOYd
