They both wondered why the Lion stood in front of them, and how he got there without them noticing.
"I meet my children where they are."
The Lion answered their question, without them even speaking it out.
"But why? Why do you stand in front of us after all we have done?" asked the two.
"Because I love my children, even if they don't love me. What you have done is wrong, and it broke my heart. However, that does not mean I hate you.'
The Lion lifted His paws to the two.
The red thread connected to a deep wound.
"I got this wound and many others, I bore the weight of your sins so that I would not lose you the Abyss."
"I took your wounds, your punishment, so that you could be with me in my kingdom."
"I died for you, so that you could live with me in Paradise forever."
The two were moved by the words spoken by the Lion.
They embraced Him, and cried in thankfulness as He stood with them.
