Chapter 2- Ivy376Please respect copyright.PENANAhHYVlQxNme
I pressed the doorbell of seventeen Green Avenue harder than I should have, still puzzled at Willow’s uncharacteristically frantic mood. A short curvy girl with an orange hoodie and a t-shirt covered with cartoon fox faces swung the door open, slamming it into the wall next to her, probably damaging both the door and wall.376Please respect copyright.PENANA8UY0gM5N5E
“Quick, follow me!” Willow said, clutching her hands together. My eyebrows turned downwards and the knot in my stomach tightened.376Please respect copyright.PENANADdFHTUq5jU
“Woah, calm down, where are we going?” I asked, my voice shaking a little, struggling greatly to keep the panic from my voice in fear of causing Willow more distress.
“Just follow me.” She said sharply. I was taken aback by her tone. She was usually so calm and patient but today she was short-tempered and uncharacteristically stressed. The feeling of worry and dread sat like a weight in my stomach and increased in intensity more and more as I realized that something must be really, really wrong for her to be this out of character. I followed closely behind her as she walked straight out of the door and towards the small woods behind in front of her house. She walked in a stiff manner as if she was slowly turning to wax and becoming more rigid by the second.
I was led down a narrow pathway through the dense trees. We walked in silence for what felt like ages, I was tense and that weight in my stomach became almost unbearably heavy, weighing me down until I felt I was going to be sick. The trees got thicker and I looked around, puzzled that she wanted to take me this far out,376Please respect copyright.PENANArdksJadDYV
“Willow, I don’t want to stress you out more, but please just tell me whatever you wanted to tell me. And why are we all the way out here?” I said gently. She stood still and turned to me, a pained look on her face.376Please respect copyright.PENANAVpCs85owvn
“I’m sorry, I just wanted to go somewhere that no-one could hear us.” She explained. She walked over to a fallen tree and sat on its rough surface. 376Please respect copyright.PENANA7zPbZFlcvD
“It’s okay, but I just really want to know. Please tell me, if it’s anything about something you’ve done it’s going to be okay.” I said, sitting beside her.
“This will sound so strange to you but it’s about you, not me.” She said, looking at me. Now I couldn’t keep the confusion from showing on my face. 376Please respect copyright.PENANABSYXAFLHxc
“Please just tell me,” I said, becoming frustrated at the suspense. 376Please respect copyright.PENANAwQajytUB27
“Please don’t freak out Ivy. I have to tell you now or I’ll never forgive myself,” She said. I listened, preparing myself for anything she could say. But what could she possibly know about me that I didn’t know about myself?376Please respect copyright.PENANAAk8VDgRXH5
