"Lily." Whispered a voice softly in the distance, calling out my name again and again. As I looked around me to spot the source of the sound I found myself surrounded by darkness. No! Not this again! Immediately I covered my ears and closed my eyes. It can't be him.
"Lily, you know it's no use." He whispered directly through my hand and into my ear that I felt his cold breath brush on my skin. "You were made for this." Suddenly a pair of cold hands removed my hands from my ears. I opened my eyes to see, but there was nothing. "I am here, alright." He hissed close to my neck.
I stepped back while covering my neck. A deep snigger echoed around me. "I'm your friend." He spoke softly and soon felt a hand brushing my neck and face, trying to seduce me. At the corner of my eye, I spotted my friend Vlad. Before I knew what was happening, I felt his kiss on my neck, the kiss of death. No! Quick-witted I gave a firm fist at his nose to let go of me. As sudden, he appeared, he vanished and I was alone in this vast cold darkness. My heart throbbed at the ears for it was silent. Soon I began to hear soft, calm breathing, and it wasn't mine, and the air held a faint coppery scent- blood! I touched my neck; there was nothing.
"Lily, no matter what happens, I will always love you." Spoke a voice sorrowful, a voice I thought I would never have the chance to hear again. "Dad!" I called and began to look around me, feverishly for him. "Where are you!" From the darkness, I spotted him a few meters away from me, sitting on the ground with his back turned to me. As I approached the smell of blood grew more potent, and beneath my shoes, I heard faint splashes. Terror seized my heart, and I halted as the thought went through my mind as I spotted a large kitchen knife beside him, covered in blood.548Please respect copyright.PENANAQkE6pVBube
"Why, Lily? Why did you choose this dark path? Where did I go wrong?" Dad cried and looked over his shoulder to me. Large dark eye-sockets stared at me and sent an icy shiver through my entire body. "Was it that you never knew your mother? I'm sorry that I had to leave you so soon." Black tears rolled from those dark holes that imprinted my mind with horror. I began to shake my head and after a while was able to look away by facing the ground. My hands were cold and damp with blood. I held them up to see closer. Did-did I do this? No! It can't be- The longer I stared upon my bloodied hands, they trembled more to the thought of whose blood it is. No! Did I kill my father? I gasped to the idea and tears welled in my eyes.
"Don't you remember? You said yourself your father died of cancer and that was before the demon-possessed you. Remember!" Called out Jeffray and saw him suddenly standing before me, looking me straight in the eyes.
I was relieved to see him, my dear friend, Jeffray. "Jeffray, what are you-" I halted as I noticed he wasn't wearing his crucifix around his neck. "You!" I hissed angered and scratched his face. Black blood oozed from the wounds while he chuckled with a deeper voice. "What's the matter, Lily?"
At that point, I felt how my fear began to turn into burning anger, giving me strength. "You dare to ask me that, demon!" I grabbed his throat tightly.
He smiled at me while his face morphed to a different look. He had a pair of deep-set of large piercing white eyes, a nose serving only as two holes and a large mouth with sharp yellow teeth. If this should inflict fear, I feel nothing but rage. I began to squeeze his throat to the point of choking, but that made no difference to him. Rapidly I kicked my knee into his stomach, and as he bent over, I gave him a firm hit at the back of his neck. Suddenly he caught my arm that was about to hit him and laughed. "You've learned many things and grew stronger, but just like your vampire friend Vlad, you're making the same mistakes." He held my arm and twisted it behind my back. "For a moment you had me there surprised, Lily." He whispered to my ear and felt his icy breath. "You have such potential; you were made for this. Any other human would have long gone mad and died a terrible death."
I knocked my head back to beat him and struck him. He cried in pain and let go of me. Rapidly I twisted his arm and pushed him to the ground with all my force. The ground cracked like cement. Am I that strong?
He laughed. "Did you ever wonder where this force came from?"
"Why does it matter? I got it after you possessed me." I hissed and twisted his arm a bit more. "A little souvenir you left behind that I tend to put into good use."
He cackled. "Lily, you're a fool! You had them all along before I possessed you. I only helped you in finding and using it."
"You're bluffing! You're a demon, so why should I take your word for it?" I hissed and pulled at his hair.
Suddenly from his back sprouted a pair of large dark bat wings. They came so sudden and quick that I got knocked over. They looked similar to Vlad's when he transforms his arms. "Oh Lily, because you are a fool I don't bluff. It is the truth. Didn't you ever wonder what happened to your mother? Why she died so soon, and how?"
"Leave her out of this; she is dead. What difference does that make!" I got up on my feet. My rage burned that I was ready to kill him, but I made a vow, never to kill any living being. But one thing is for sure; I will make him suffer...
