Katrina Kuznetsov’s POV
For the last couple of weeks, we have been busy preparing for our intimate union that Conall decided to make it at his estate. Not that I was complaining but it was hectic and I don’t think that a wedding can be so…overwhelming.
“Are you ready, Kat?” My twin came inside the room as she popped her head at the door.
“Yeah, almost. Can you get the zipper on my back?” I said as I turned to look at her. Karla holds her breath as she looked me up and down.
“What’s wrong?” I asked as I kind of freaked out if anything happened on my wedding day.
“OH MY GOD, Kat! You looked adorable and sexy as well. Oh, my. This wedding dress suits you, even though it was unorthodox to have a green wedding gown,” she said as she zipped my gown. I scoffed before I turned to look at her.
“Well, you know me, I don’t like the following tradition and besides,” I said as I turned to look at the mirror again fro last minute alter.
“Conall loves green and it made me feel like he only has his eyes on me,” I said as I looked at Karla, smiling wickedly before she rolled her eyes at me.
“Yeah, whatever sis. I don’t care as long as you’re happy. I’m happy,” she said before she looked at the watch and cursed.
“What’s wrong?” I asked her.
“it’s time. Take your place, now!” She said as she pulled me to stand at the door. I was huffing with my mermaid shape dress in emerald green and I had my hair braided on one side and put the emeralds on them. I don’t know that Conall had a stock of emeralds since he was so obsessed with making the time machine.
“Okay, you’re ready,” Karla said before she disappeared inside the hallway and I was standing at the top of the stairs. The ‘Wedding March’ has been played on the piano as I went to descend the stairs. There were a lot of people that were attending the wedding ceremony and here I thought it was an intimate ceremony.
“Damn you, Conall,” I mumbled before I flashed my generous smile as I was walking down the stairs and toward the end of the ballroom where it has been changed to an altar for me to walk toward Conall, who was wearing a black suit, handmade nonetheless, who was smiling brightly as he saw his bride coming at him.
I locked my eyes with him as I can feel that there were only two of us and no one was there. I was walking toward him as I can sense my cold feet getting colder and colder.
“hi,” he whispered as he took my hand.
“hi,” I said as I was standing in front of him. He smiled at me before he whispered something into my ears.
“you look ravishing, love,” he said as I was chuckling lightly.
“you’re not bad yourself,” I said as I was holding his laughing, mischievous eyes. Someone cleared their throat and we’re back on the ceremony.
“do you have the rings?” The official asked us as Conall urged his best man, it’s none other than Edmond Lattone, who was holding our right.
“Now, are you ready to say your vows at each other?” The official asked us. We nodded. He urged Conall to go first.
“my dear beloved Katrina, I know that I have loved you since the first time we met. We were just mere strangers but I know that my heart only beats for you. I know that I am not perfect but with you in my life, I am perfect and would love nothing more to cherish you, loving you, taking care of you, growing old together and watched our kids grow up together. I will be the luckiest man with you by my side,” Conall said as he was holding my hands and said those words to me. I was tearing up as it was meaningful and I know that it came from his heart.
“my sweet husband Conall,” I started.
“he’s not your husband yet,” the official said and everyone laughed.
“Well, my sweet Conall, I will grow old with you, cherish my every moment with you and would always love you and care for you. I know I am imperfect but you can always filly void and made me perfect because we fit together like a lost piece of the puzzle that was meant to be. I would be honored to be loved and hold this vow together as long as it was with you,” I said as I looked at him. Conall was smiling but a tear was streaming down his face. He was crying but happy because of me.
“and now, I present to you, Mr. And Mrs. Conall Reid. You may kiss your bride, my grace,” the official said before Conall put his hands behind my head and pulled me closer to claim my mouth like he already owned it. Everyone was clapping as he was kissing me so tender but I know from his look there will be more to come tonight.
Conall put my wedding ring on my hand. And it was made of emerald with studded diamonds around it. Touché. I put the wedding band on his hand before he kissed me again and we moved to the reception party.
It was a intimate party. Conall was standing there next to me all the time as he introduced me to the board of his company.
“Gentlemen, I would like you guys to meet my wife, Katrina Kuznetsov-Reid. Katrina, these are the men that run my company,” he said as I shook their hands. They said congratulations as I was smiling at them.
“So, what do you like about him, Katrina if you don’t mind I’m asking?” One of the men asked me as I shook his hand. I looked at Conall as he was laughing and looked at me knowingly as he arched his eyebrow at me.
“well, if you want an honest answer, I love him because he will always be there whenever someone needs his help and I am thankful I can return the favor to him as well,” I said as I squeezed his hand. He was laughing before the gentlemen were refilling their drinks.
“I don’t know what to say, my love, but I’m impressed,” he said as he pulled me toward the dance floor. I arched my eyebrow before he bowed at me and I curtsied.
“so, your grace, huh?” I started a conversation when we were waltzing across the dance floor before some other couples joined us.
“Well, it’s just a formality,” he said, shrugging at me as I was looking at him.
“well, I think in that case, your grace, I have to call you that from now on,” I said as I was spinning before he pulled me back into his arms.
“well, you don’t have to. You’re my wife, Katrina. I don’t need that from you,” he said as he twirled me and then dipped me before I looked at him.
“You wished I called you that, Reid,” I said as I was laughing before I put my hand on his shoulder and one in his right hand.
“well, you can always scream my name whenever we’re alone, my love,” he whispered into my ears before I felt my face was hotter than this room. I also know that my face was red as a tomato after his snide remarks. I glared at him before he chuckled and kissed me. He always did that to calm me down after his comment.
Conall Reid’s POV
I was lounging around the bar as Katrina was throwing the bouquet and I was having some talks with my friends. I had invited Lucas and Edmond as they were off the schedule from their companies but I’m not sure if that’s the only thing they do.
“so, how’s Greece?” Edmond asked as I looked at Lucas. He was drinking his wine before he choked on it.
“whoa, easy man, I just asked your vacation there,” Edmond said as Lucas was coughing. I laughed at them as I patted on his back.
“well, the weather right now was nice but since I have to be here, so, I missed all the girls that were waiting to be swept off her feet by me,” Lucas said smugly as we all laughed.
“well, that’s a shame I guess,” I said as I took a sip on my wine before looked at my wife who was animatedly talking to everybody that I just introduced. mostly, the wife of my board members.
“so, what’s your next plan?” Lucas asked as he looked at me. I played with the edge of my flute as I don’t know what to say.
“I don’t know. I made some breakthroughs that turn out can be a danger to everyone that I loved. So I guess, I will have to go back to the boring office lifestyle,” I said as I looked at them. Lucas laughed as Edmond shook his head at me. Suddenly, his phone rang.
“oh, shit. I have to get this. Excuse me,” he said as he left us before I saw his expression changed.
