Vaughn Kuznetsov’s POV
“did you gave it to him?” I asked him as I was looking through the channel that was on.
“Yes, I delivered it just now and he should be doing it right away,” he replied. I smiled at my attempt to get my hands on the time machine. With its power in my hands, no one can tell me what to do and not do.
“Good, now go keep an eye on them. I want the machine to be successful as I tried to use it on my machine, the men just disappeared,” I said before sighing.
“will do, sir. Hail Forgeron,” he said before I disconnected the line. A knock interrupted me.
“come in,” I asked my henchman, Volkov.
“Katrina and Conall were nowhere to be found,” he said as I was punching the table.
“Damn it, that kid. Where she was last seen?” I asked him.
“at a tavern, drunk,” he said as I looked at him sharply.
“well find her or I will cut your head,” I said before he went out. He closed the door as I threw some paper at the door.
“where did you hide, little lamb?” I said as I looked out the window of my study as I took a whiff of my cigar.
Katrina Kuznetsov's POV
“But how? The only person that has the formula was just me only. I never wrote it anywhere,” Conall said as he was walking back and after as we were stopping beside a road. It was morning so people were not to busy to go to work or having an encounter with us, yet.
“So, what’s the plan now?” I asked him as I looked at him. He stopped and staring back at me. He sighed before holding his temple for a moment.
“honestly, I don’t know,” he whispered as he took a seat beside me. He was rubbing his hands as he was out of the idea.
“hey,” I said as I put my hand on his shoulder, he looked up at me, “everything will be found, I’m sure,” I said as I smiled at him. He smiled back as he was holding my hand.
“I hope so too, love, I hope so too,” he said before I looked away as he called me endearment. I distracted myself for not being obvious about my feelings at him. I clapped my hands together for him as I looked into his eyes.
“so, do you know how to get to the estate?” I asked before Conall looked at me and smiled like a maniac. Uh-oh.
“I might have an idea,” he said before taking my hands and pulled me to run into the road to nowhere.
“Okay, when you said an idea, you mean, we need to hitchhike?” I asked as I looked at Conall who was pointing into the direction of going to the east of the road.
“believe me, love, it was the best way to travel,” he said cheerfully. I grunted as I looked at him.
“Yeah, in the future. But have you forgotten, we dress like no one in this century,” I whispered at him as I saw something was coming at up.
“Conall?” I said as I tried to pull him to look at my direction.
“hang on, there must be someone at this hour,” he said as he was dismissing my distraction.
“Conall,” I hissed at him as I pulled on his sleeves even more.
“what?” He asked, annoyed before looking into my direction. There were wild boars that were running toward us.
“Damn it, Katrina, why you don’t say something?” He said as he pulled me by the hands and we started running. The wild boars responded to us by following us. We were basically running for our lives right now.
“I did but you were so busy to hitchhike, remember?” I yelled at him as we were running until we were out of breath for civil talk.
“damn, get off, boars,” Conall yelled at the wild animals. I scoffed at his attempt.
“yeah, yelling at them made them go away,” I said before I saw something coming our way.
“Duck!” I screamed as I went on top of Conall and we rolled onto the ground. There was shooting into our direction. A couple of shots and a stumbling behind our backs wreaking us to stay grounded.
“You know, I once imagined that we would wind up like this,” Conall said in his sexy Scottish accent. I rolled my eyes at him while my stomach was making a different feeling after he said that. I tried to ignore that as I cleared my throat. Conall was looking concern at me as I just shook my head at him.
“Yeah, but not to be killed to our death, I guess,” I said as I looked over my shoulder as Conall was holding me steady. The wild boars were all dead as the shooting was a really good one.
“are you going to get up anytime soon?” Conall asked as he looked at me. I looked at him as I glared. I heard hoofing the horses that were coming our way.
“shit, there’s someone coming,” I said as I tried to get up. Conall did not let me go that made me went on top of him again.
“damn it, Reid. Let me go. Someone’s coming,” I hissed at him.
“Let them be,” he said smirking at me. I glared at him as I tried to get up again.
“conall, let go,” I said as I tried to push him off.
“never,” he whispered as he tightens his grip on my waist. I looked around for rocks or stones to hit his thick head for not letting me go.
“Conall I swear if you don’t let go,” I said before Conall looked at me amused.
“Or what?” He asked as he looked into my eyes. I can feel that my cheeks were burning under his stare.
“I…I…I…”I stammered as I tried to threaten him. He was waiting for me to find something that will scare him.
“I will kill you like those guys back then,” I said as I looked at him. He chuckled at me.
“I would like to see you try,” he said unamused. I gritted my teeth as I looked at him.
“Why you,” I said as I tried to punch him. He blocked it with his hand. I tried to hit him again and again as he blocked it and blocked it without fail.
“Why you!” I hissed at him as I tried and tried before Conall’s feet were sliding off and we were rolling down the hills.
“Ahhh!” I screamed as we went down the hills.
Conall Reid’s POV
I was having fun as I saw Katrina tried to hit me but I blocked every her advances. I just chuckled at her as I can feel her anger was rising.
“Why you!” She hissed at me before I can fell that my body was slipping under the hill.
“Ahhh!” She screamed before we rolled down the hills. I instantly protect her head with my hands as we were rolling down the hill for quite some times. We were hitting every nicks and stone that were on the ground. I was trying to soften the landing when Katrina was holding dearly at me. I can’t help but be happy about that.
when we finally coming to a stop, I can’t help but laughed.
“Well, we really stuck the landing,” I said as I looked at Katrina. She was looking angrily at me before we were surrounded by swords. We looked up and there were men on horse and were looking down at us.
“woah, this is not welcoming that we were looking for,” I said as I looked around.
“Don't make jokes when our lives at stake,” Katrina hissed at me. I looked at her as she was looking around the men.
“Aww, I don’t think that you would care about me,” I said as I looked at her. She rolled her eyes at me and got off from me. I tried to get up as well before Katrina landed on me again.
“ugh,” I said as we landed, more like me, landed on my butt. I can’t concentrate when Katrina bumped into my laps and the thing that was between my laps. Down, boy, I said as I tried to control my boner.
“What’s wrong?” I asked as I tried to look at Katrina. She was distressed. I did not notice the surrounding before the swords were around my neck.
“Oh, that’s why,” I said as I looked around us. The men were on the horse and our necks were laying close to the swords and make the wrong move, we will be dead.
“enough! That’s not the way to treat our savior,” a voice that coming toward us.
“My Lord!” The men said as they bowed toward him. We were forced to bow as well.
“Who might I asked who are you?” The Lord asked us.
“We might as well know you first, your grace,” I said as I locked my eyes with him.
“You did not know who is he? He was the ruler of this land, Lord Jack Reid, Duke of Edinburgh,” the man said as I was left speechless.
