Alexander MacWatters’ POV
I did not expect that Lea could be, what was the right word, inappropriate. She was drinking and dancing in one of the busiest bars in town. I would not mind if she wanted to drink because I was keeping sober all night for her sake. But right now, she was pissing me off.
She was on the dance floor and everyone was grinding against her. She wore her engagement ring and wedding band that I slipped into her hand after we left the court hall and she slipped on mine.
I was drinking by the bar as she was grinding to some dude that was coming onto her. I gripped my beer before I went out to the dance floor as well, wanting to kill this man for touching what was rightfully mine.
“Hand’s off, buddy. She’s taken,” I said as I showed him my ring before I took Lea into my arms. She was still dancing as she was grinding against me now. Oh, mercy! How does she learn to be a seductress?!
“I cannot believe you let that guy get over you,” I said to her as loud as possible considering the music was booming in the club. She laughed.
“That’s the idea,” she said as she snaked her arms around me. I narrowed my eyes at her. She smirked at me.
“I wanted you to get all possessive and obsess with me, MacWatters,” she whispered huskily into my ear as she licked my ear. I shivered before I hold her by the waist.
“We should go,” I said as I tried to pull her away. She refused before slipping right out of my arms.
“if you want me, catch me,” she said before she dodged toward the door. I was stunned for a second before I went after her.
“lea! Don’t play games. We need to go now!” I said as I went through the door. It came to the back of the club. It was dark and deserted. shit! I let Lea went into the danger itself.
“relax, MacWatters, everything will be fine,” she shouted as she was a few meters away from me. I gritted my teeth. I don’t like it when she’s drunk and was running away from me.
“Damn it, Lea! We have to go, now!” I shouted before I went to step forward. She stepped backward like me.
“as I told you, you need to catch me,” she said before she went running. I hissed before I saw a tank full of water and she was running passing it. I smirked before I waved my hands and water slipped out of the tank, blocking her way. She stopped in front of it before I went to walk slowly toward her.
“Do you have anywhere else to be, my love?” I asked her as she turned around to look at me. Her drunkard was not there at the moment because of the power that I was using right now. She looked at me before I waved the water out of the way and I picked her up like a sack of potatoes.
“hey! Let me down. I demand you!” She shouted as she was punching in my bag. I smirked before I went to hit her ass. She shrieked before she started again.
“In time, my darling. We need to get out of here if you wanted to show your fury toward me. I think we have a better way to conserve that energy of yours,” I said before she scoffed.
“In your dreams, MacWatters! Did you blackmail me, remember? Asking me if I wanted to be your bride for my funding. well, news flashed, I can do it without you,” she said as she was slurring on her words but I heard her just fine.
“well, if you say so,” I said before I went to my car and unlocked it. I went to put her on the backseat before she can have an argument, I strapped her to the seatbelt.
“Sleep, my love and I will get you out of there when we were home,” I said before she laughed.
“and what? You think Colin will not here us even we were in your room. I asked him this morning that he can hear you snore to the hall,” she said as she looked at me with hooded eyes and her eyes were dark with desire, for me. lust. I gulped before I smiled sweetly at her.
“well, in that case, we need to spend the night somewhere else then,” I whispered to her before claiming her mouth. She whimpered before she was succumbing to my kiss as she tried to pull me in. I stopped her.
“Please, Alex. Let me out of my misery,” she whispered before she looked at me. I smiled. I went to touch her forehead and I willed her to be sleepy.
“Sleep, my love and I will make you feel loved when I wake you up,” I whispered before her eyes began to close and she was off drifting in her sleep. I closed the door before I went to the driver seat and sped off to a new destination that was not my home. My parents’ hotel.
Everyone knows the real fortune of MacWatters’ family was the family hotels all over America and in Europe. I smiled as I was not interested in helping Ma and Da on the family business. That was Colin’s job and I went to pursue my passion, Chemistry and of course, the secret of our power. I went to stop in front of the hotel before the valet lit up his face as he saw me.
“Mr. MacWatters. What a surprise,” he said before I smiled at him.
“Evening, Karl. How’s your day?” I asked him before I went to get Lea out of the backseat. The valet looked at her and asked me.
“is she alright, sir?” He asked. I smiled before I scooped her up bridal style.
“yes, Mrs. MacWatters was a little drunk but she’s fine. She just needs some sleep and I assume that my room was ready?” I asked him. Not to brag but if your parents owned the place, you were royalty here.
“yes, I have alerted the manager and he said that everything was ready for you sir,” he said before I went inside the lobby.
“oh, here. And don’t lose it,” I said as I tossed my keys and he caught it. I went inside the lobby as the doorman opened it for me.
“Evening, Mr. MacWatters,” he said and I nodded. I need to put Lea down as quickly as I can.
“Sir,” the manager called after me as I went to the private lift that was for us to use. Only family members.
“not now, Jeff. I see you in the morning,” I said as the elevator opened the door.
“Should I alert your parents, sir?” He asked. I shook my head before he nodded at me.
“I hope they will not be mad about this,” I said as I looked at the sleeping beauty in my head. The elevator dings and I went out of the room. It went directly toward the house that my parents would use whenever they came to visit. I went to the master bedroom and I put Lea on the bed. She stirred in her sleep.
“wake up, my love,” I said as I caressed her cheeks. She squirmed before she looked at me in the eyes and at the surrounding.
“where are we?” She asked as she stood up from the bed. She coughed before I went to get some water from the night table.
“here,” I said as I handed her the glass.
“Thank you,” she said hoarsely before she emptied it in seconds. She sighed before handed me the glass back and she looked at me as I put my hands on her knees.
“What now?” She asked me. I smiled at her.
“We need to get you out of those clothes and you need to take a shower. I ran you a hot bath, I’ll be right back,” I said as I went inside the bathroom and filled the tub with lukewarm water. I put some essential oils to help her relax before I went to get her. I left her to get a shower as I went to the other side of the house to have a shower of my own.
I went to get some robe from the hanger and I put it on. I put my laundry inside a basket as well as Lea’s. I went to the kitchen and I drank some water to calm my nerves. She did not ask me, I told myself. I need to strain myself. a moment later, Lea came into the kitchen to get some water as well.
“Do you need something?” I asked her as I was sipping on my tea. I need to calm my freaking urge to take her now as she was wearing a robe right now.
“Yeah, and some Advil of you have it,” she said before she took my coffee and sipped on it.
“here,” I said as I gave the Advil to her and some water. She drank it and ate the pills. I hoped she will feel better in the morning.
“where are we?” She asked me as she stood in front of me, hands on the edge of the glass as she looked at me.
“My parents’ retreat,” I said as I smiled at my joke.
“so, this is your parents’ hotel?” She asked. I nodded. then, we were quiet.
“I’m sorry if—“
“no, it’s fine. I think we should get to bed now,” I said as I went to the sink and put the mug before I went past her. She stopped me on the chest.
“Lea,” I whispered before she pulled my head down and kissed me. I was taken back but I kissed her back. After a few moments, we broke the kiss and rested our foreheads together.
“if we do this, we can never go back,” I said as I was pulling at her waist. She smiled as she closed her eyes before she opened it.
“then, so be it,” was the last thing I remembered before I pulled her up and I strode inside the room to consummate our marriage. I hoped she will not regret it in the morning.
