Moon Pie Poem
-
I’ve a sweet tooth so I took a bite of the moon, clean through it’s banana shell, inside it’s soft cake layer and deep in it’s marshmallow core.

Moon Pie Prose
-
I learned what it is to taste yellow. It was a pillow on a hardwood floor all mine, a urge for the sweet and a surprise treat. Specifically, a moon pie that I’d forgotten I’d had. As I ate I learned what it is to be happy.

Moon Pie Shakespearean Sonnet

So subtly smooth. Cased inside is loveworthy. I take a bite to bloom. A chew to soak in a sweet flurry.

Something like chewy clouds. Banana trees on a pedestal. Convinced happiness lies in yellow mounds. To eat another sweet would be regrettable.

With the moon in my hand. With a grin from ear to ear. Most find paradise in sand. I find mine in slices of the moon made in pies, I say for all to hear.

In that moment I’m lost in flavor. I close my eyes and I savor.

Golden joy in my palm. I sing of marshmallow songs. As soft as silk, more filling than milk, brighter than any dawn.

The sooner the lunar sets
Yellow in my hand, a mellow meadow
nothing is truer when I swallow smiles
belly fuller, something of pies, like wings, that carry me miles

The moonlight is but sunshine reflection. That doesn’t mean the lunar light from the moon is not her own, nor just as beautiful. Her fluffy inside is rivaled only by her sunny glow. Baked to perfection, she deserves every window seal to cool on. How could she not stand out on the aisle when surrounded by nothing but darkness and void.

Those of love deserving are like constellations but a constellation is not alone but made up of smaller bits and even so, there’s still individuality that coincides with togetherness.

Moon Pie Echo Verse Poem
-
Moon pies, in their yellowly joy are but destined to be eaten, bite by bite. Moon pies, in their abundant way of being both soft and firm are destined to be eaten, bite by bite. Moon pies, in their dignified subtly, don’t need to impress, for they know their worth and are destined to be eaten, bite by bite.

Moon Pie Origins
-
A gentle giant that lives among the stars loves telling jokes. He tells his jokes to the soft moon who laughs so hard she cries. Those tears fall through the cake belt, collecting it’s crumbs and plunges through banana clouds before landing on earth as the moon pies we know and love. Moonspectors mine them out and wrap them up and that’s how moon pies are made.
