Everyone has come to say goodbye to King Robert as he passed away. Cersei and Jamie Lannister still sit in their cells. Tywin Lannister will be arriving shortly after the awake. There was plenty to talk about from the passed two days. After Ed Stark left Cersei in her cell he wrote to Tywin about his children and grandchildren. He hasn't told anyone what he has discovered, although everyone in the castle knows. At least Little Finger and Lord Varys knows. Eddard Stark looks down at one of his dearest friends, Robert Baratheon. They fought together and drank together. "I'm going to miss you Robert," Ned said to Robert. He turns around as he heard someone come in, it was his daughters Arya and Sansa. They came with him to King's Landing when Ned was called to be Hand of the King. "I'm sorry you lost your friend father," Arya said hugging Ned. Sansa then joins in the hug and asks "What's going to happen now?" "I'm going to be king until farther notice," he tells them honestly, but not the full truth not wanting his daughters caught up in this. "It was one of King Robert's last wishes," Ned continued. "Does that make us princesses now father?" Sansa asked. "For a little bit yes, and that means you have to act like princesses" he said as he starts to look at Arya. "I'm not a lady," Arya said. Ned kneels down in front of Arya and says "we are in a dangerous place we must not give them any reason to doubt us. "Sansa rolls her eyes and Arya nods her head agreeing with her father. Their maiden comes in the Keep to take the girls. "Come on girl Lord Tywin will be here soon we must not disturb them. You will see your father for dinner," the older woman said. The girls give their father a hug and leaves. Ned turns to his old friend and says "I am sorry Robert." "I made it so we came sooner so I can repay my respects," Lord Tywin said. "Thank you and we can talk about things tomorrow morning," Ned told Lord Tywin. Lord Tywin nods in response and Ned gives him some space.
Its been a long couple of days for Ned Stark. It was only the beginning of the long days. It's just about dawn and Ned hardly got any sleep, mourning his oldest friend, and having Tywin Lannister in the castle. Everyone is on edge that he's here. "King Robert made me king, his daughter was just queen I invited him to talk about a plan for the future," Ned answers the question without saying the whole truth. The whole truth could kill his daughters.
Eddard Stark waits for Lord Tywin Lannister in the hands tower. Ned is trying to figure out how to word certain things without sounding judgmental. He knows he is far from the North, away from his allies. A knock on the door gets Ned out of head. "Lord Stark, Lord Tywin is here," I young man said behind the door. "You may enter," Lord Ned replies. Seconds later and Tywin is in his doorway. "Lord Stark is a pleasure to see you again," Lord Tywin said bringing out his hand. "They aren't rumors, Cersei Lannister your daughter confirmed them. Your grandchildren are fathered by your son and daughter Jamie and Cersei," Ned Stark informs Tywin. They both sit down at the table, after a long silence Tywin speaks first. "King Robert made you king, can I see the letter." Ned nods his head and gives him the letter. The silence seemed to last forever, and Ned understood why. His own children were in a sexual relationship and had babies together. Now Robert has no heir for the throne. "I agree with Robert, you are king of the seven kingdoms. I'm sorry for your loss, and congratulations your grace," Lord Tywin said breaking the silence. Lord Eddard took a second to take what was happening in. "Thank you my lord," Ned Stark said standing up and shaking Lord Tywin's hand.
Within days it becomes official to the rest of the realm, Ned Stark is king of the seven kingdoms.
