林從欣慢慢扭開了冰冷的手把推門而進，我就趕緊跟著她的腳步把藥車推進病房內。一踏進病房後我整個人傻住了，嘴巴也不自覺地張開。

一踏進病房後，四面牆都掛滿了畫，甚至地上也放了許多許多的畫布和畫具。仔細一看整間病房的畫都是採用黑色，灰色和藍色等的冷色調，所畫的線條和筆觸都是彎彎曲曲，斷斷續續的。而且畫中的人物面目猙獰，痛苦，憤怒，可看出畫者的心理。

看到整間病房都是這類的畫像使我不寒而慄，令我感到不自在，也令我明白到昨晚為何會一踏進房間會嗅到陣陣難以形容的味道，原來那是油畫的味道。

當我轉頭一望，只見病床上的男人滿面愁容地看著我們。因為掉光頭髮而戴著深藍色的帽子，瘦削而凹陷的臉灰白色臉龐可看出他身患重病。

田協材看到我們到來就向我們點了點頭，然後在床上掙扎，想要坐起來，眼見他快要掉下床，我便馬上上前扶起他:「小心！」
