“Ben, what is the last thing you remember?”
A voice spoke to me, although I couldn’t answer for reasons I didn’t know. I was in a empty space of nothing, a pool of blinding white light.
The words made me question, what was the last thing I remembered?

Two lights approached in the dead of night, drawing closer to seal my fate.
The air was moist, the cold wind blew across the tall reaching pine trees.
there was no noise other than that of the forest, and the approaching hum from the car ahead.
I stood there in the dark on a long paved road, watching and waiting as the car drew in closer.
I was struck with fear, I couldn’t move. All I could do was watch as the vehicle neared.
It wasn’t slowing down, nor was it about to swerve, it was too late for that.
Was he not paying attention? Maybe he was driving with the intention to kill. And why couldn’t I move? Whatever it was it didn’t matter.
The bumper of his car struck my legs, I thought they broke as I heard a snap, at first it didn’t hurt.
The rest of my body fell forward colliding with the hood of his car creating a loud thump.
After the collision I was tossed into the woods like a rag doll.
It happened fast, so fast I wasn’t conscious long enough to feel the pain.
I don’t remember much after that, only brief glimpses of a hospital, and a bright blinding light.

The white light turned to black, I was consumed by darkness, there was nothing.
I was alone, I couldn’t feel or see my body, I couldn’t call out or even move. It was like I was asleep, in a dream, but fully conscious.
I was in this abyss for a few moments, although it felt like an eternity.
I woke from the dream in a cold dark room. There were four walls surrounding me made of thick glass.
I got up onto my feet from the cold hard floor before examining the room further.
The ceiling was also glass, and the floor made of white glass tiles. The floor was the only surface that wasn’t see-through.
Soon after I woke there was a click, lights under the floor tiles turned on and lit my surroundings.
There was a rectangular object in the center of the room, it looked to be some sort of mechanism but I had no idea what for or what use it served.
There was a small pipe sticking out from the wall behind me, I approached the wall it stuck through.
The other side of the walls were completely dark, nothing but pitch black. Something about it looked and felt so unnatural.
The pipe went on for a ways before disappearing into the dark.
I questioned what porpoise it served.
I’d never seen a room like this before. It looked so unreal.
I walked to the opposite side of the wall to find a notebook and pencil behind the rectangular object.
The pages were blank, there was nothing special about it or the pencil, neither of them held a name brand or company logo.
”Where the hell am I?” I asked myself out loud.
(Click)
Off to the left past my room lit another. There was a woman inside standing next to two pillars, on one was a red button while the other a blue one.
(Click)
To my right past the room I was in and across from the woman’s lit another mysterious room. There was a man in this one, there was a square block with a TV remote on top of it.
(Click)
Across from me turned on the lights to a fourth room. There was another man in this room. There were no objects or structures like the others.
”What on earth is this?”
We looked back and forth at each other, it was too far to see their features.
The woman on the left tried pushing the buttons on the pillars but nothing happened.
The man on the right grabbed the remote and pushed a button...
A piece of the mechanism next to me slid open like a drawer.
I examined it.
It was a audio tape.
“How am I supposed to use this?” I asked myself.
(Click)
A slit opened in the contraption.
The tape fit inside.
I waited... All of the others we’re watching me.
”...Ben.”
Said a deep distorted voice from the tape.
”You my friend are going to participate in a game.” Said the voice.

“It’s a game your mortal mind can comprehend. As you see, there are four rooms set like the four on a single die.”
“What you don’t see is the fifth room in the center of you all. So you are all set up like the five on a die.”
”You my friend are and are not at its center. You hold the only key of communication between the four rooms.”
”Cough.”
The man speaking sounded old and sick.
”The goal is to get all the lights to and in the middle room lit. Simple yes? Is that something you can imagine as possible?... good.”
”Although two of you will not make it.”
”You must complete the puzzles in each room and work together to do it. The object in your room is many things, a printer is one of them.”
”You can send a copy of what you have written to any room you want, but if you send it the paper will be destroyed. That way you can only send so many.”
”You are in room #1, room #2 is to your left, #3 across from you, #4 to your right, and #5 in between you all.”
”There are 616 rooms in total. #616 being the last. I wonder how many you’ll go though before you feel something is wrong... hmhm...”
”Death is inevitable in this game. It’s only when you realize what you’re really in for, that’s what will make you break.”
”Good luck my friend. You’ll need it for the hell you’re going through. The game has only just begun...”
