"Hellow, Miss. Laura"!! Mr. Greg greeted me as i slid in through the door. He was sitting on the fine smooth leather couch with a cup of black coffee, while munching some chocolate cookies. My mother on other hand was sitting beside him, doing everything she could to please the mayor. " Nice to see you, Mayor, though I didn't expected you to come"!! I mumbled the last part though i knew every one in the room had listened it. Soon the room filled with his laughter and my mom also joined him in. Mr. Greg motioned me to the couch still chuckling, as if he owns my house. I forced my feet to move, my legs still wobbly due to the shock of this unexpected reunion. I sat down and waited for him to continue. He cleared his throat, a huge grin stuck on his face. " Oh dear Laura, Its nice to see you too"!!
I mentally rolled my eyes, remembering the last time he showed up was to meet my mother personally. I was damn sure that today he was mostly here for my mother, bcz he was secretly fond of her, however, I could clearly see interest in his eyes when he watched me. I gulped down the left air down and prayed for some miracle. I cleared my throat and asked,
"So, am i disturbing your personal time, or you decided to now have some chats with me"??
I asked and as i did, my mother cheeks heated up and she gave me a glare clearly showing " Behave"!. Mayor chuckled again, pleased with my frustration. "Laura, I have a promotion for u"!! As he said it, my heart skipped a beat. "What promotion"!! I asked, still in shock. Mayor smirked at my reaction and continued, " We all know you are a blessed girl with higher I.Q. So, there's a school for special teenagers like you. We trains them in both physical and mental ways thus they secure a bright future. By seeing your ability, you will have a 100 % scholarship. So if u wanna go....."!!
OMG!!! This really was a huge shock. After all would have a chance to meet people like me, no more with these ordinary fools. I thought. With out any more thoughts, I stood up and headed towards my room it not before saying " I am going"!!
