One year later
Todd looks up from his desk when he hears a knock on his door, and then his dearest grandmother walks in, her seeing eye dog, Honey, leading the way. After Annette told Todd to run for the town's mayor, he had, as per usual he wanted to make his grandmother happy. And it seemed that everyone else in town wanted the same thing, because he had won by a landslide (despite his young human age; he was only 13 by their standards, but no one knew that).
"Hello dear! I was just realizing.. you've been here so long, and you're what, almost... oh I don't remember.. my memory isn't what it used to be, is it?"
Before he had a chance to respond, she said
"Well anyway I want you to meet someone. Shyla, sweetie, will you come in please?"
And with that, a beautiful young girl walked in, and just like that, Todd knew everything about her. He knew she was sweet, and supportive, and a very talented writer. He knew that she was a good friend, and was kind to those who were down. And of course, he knew just by looking at her that she was undeniably pretty. He liked this girl. And even better, his grandmother did too. He could tell they would get along amazingly.
