The ripple and the crash had fazed both the Darkness and the Light.
They were left dazed and confused and remained so for a long time. When they came to, they searched around frantically for the Storm within themselves but the Storm was no longer. The Light and the Darkness called out to the Storm, receiving only silence in return.
The Light felt hollow and the Darkness felt anger. They both lashed out with their tendrils within the sphere, hoping to find the Storm hidden somewhere within.
In its stead, they discovered enclosed within their sphere, a Disc.
The light and dark tendrils caressed the Disc, curious to this object that had appeared in the middle of their domain.
The Disc was large, stretching from one edge of the sphere to the other, splitting the sphere into two perfect halves. It was smooth to their touch, a perfect disc floating inside their space, touching the edges of the sphere.
For ages, they spent feeling the Disc, from one edge to the next, hoping to find the Storm.
When the reality set in that their child was nowhere to be found, the Darkness wept.
For the anger had been calmed down and turned to sorrow by the Light’s touch.
The Darkness wept and wept until the Disc was covered by oceans of the Darkness’ tears. To console her, the Light reached out to the Darkness. This time, when they touched, the spark was smaller and not as violent as it had been before the appearance of the Disc. When they touched, soft soothing energy radiated.
Calling the Darkness down to the Disc, at the centre, the Light pulled the earth hidden beneath the ocean of tears. He pulled it above the waters, a towering monument. He directed the Darkness to cut and flatten the mountain at the top for he was Darkness and he could only create, not destroy.
Curious, the Darkness did as the Light had requested her to do. With a swift swipe of her tendril, the cut the pointed top of the mountain. The rock crashed down to the ocean below, sending a large wave, the first wave, away, stretching away to infinity, to the edge of the Disc.
Then Light descended on the flat surface and began to weave.
He took his tendrils and thinned them down to small threads and began to weave. As Darkness watched in wonder, Light’s craft began to take shape. He made two legs, two arms, a chest, and a head. And then, Light tore a small piece of Himself and blessed the figure before her, giving it life.
And He named her Ishi, the sound of the wave crashing into the mountain below.
Darkness, her sorrows over the Storm forgotten, regarded Ishi with love and glee. And she saw that Ishi was lonely.
Mimicking what the Light had done, Darkness began weaving on her own. She tore a small piece of Herself and blessed the figure, bringing it to life.
And thus, Ashi, named after his elder sibling, was born.
The Light and the Darkness watched as Ishi and Ashi descended the mountain, shouting in laughter and delight. The two would stumble and fall and pick themselves back up never once breaking their laughter. The ground shook beneath their feet as they were colossal beings although tiny in contrast to the mountain that the Light had created. Once at the bottom of the mountain, Ishi and Ashi stopped for breath. They lay down on the ground, looking up at the sky above them full of swirling white and black tendrils as the Sphere churned around them.
The water before them rippled gently, reflecting the sky above. Ashi walked to it and dipped his hand in the water, giggling as the cool water tickled his skin. Seeing this Ishi did the same with the mountain, borrowing her hand into the solid earth. Digging deeper, she gathered a mound of earth on the shore. Then, using the water, she began to fashion the dirt into a figure much like Ashi.
Witnessing this, the Light reached down and caressed his daughter’s face. As the tendrils touched the face, he felt a twinge of loneliness in her. His daughter was lonely. And so, he tore more pieces of himself and with it weaved two figures. He named them Jivi and Viri and they were brothers of Ishi.
Seeing Light make siblings for his daughter, the Darkness reached down and did the same for Ashi. She made two sisters for him and named them Yami and Jani.
And so were born three of Light’s children and three of Darkness’ children. These are the six Gods from Creation.698Please respect copyright.PENANA5mFX6IfYtk
