A delightful snack to enjoy (my favorite) and one of the oldest fruits known in Europe. Besides so old and still enjoyable in anyway to prepare it (as cakes, dried fruit, juice, etc.). It is also connected to great symbols, history and mythology...
What inspired Newton to think about the gravity of the Earth? And the following thought with Steve Jobs for his company symbol or motive? An apple.
In Switzerland the famous legend of Wilhelm Tell, shooting with a crossbow an apple from his youngest son's head.
Yet in history besides with math and computer techniques also kings and queens held the apple (the round shaped ball of gold with a cross on top) in their left hand while sitting on their thone and being crowned. The apple symbolises for the world, due to its round shape (a bit weird for believing the world was flat as a coin, depending which century).
In mythology the appletree symoblizes for love, womanhood, great wisdom, the other world (presumably the underworld), great courage and in the Norse mythology for immortality. Throughout Europe many different cultures had their own versions what the apple represents throughout time till today as a simple fruit and part of food (as always).676Please respect copyright.PENANAQrlBHNrK2h
