"Ouch!!" exclaimed James as I hit him right on the nose. He was irritating me for almost fifteen minutes and I couldn't take it anymore. I was standing outside a theatre for almost an hour waiting for him and he just arrives and keeps irritating me? Like seriously? What am I ? A joke?
"Well, that was hard. You are seriously gonna pay for this!" he said in an almost angry tone.
"Oh! Let's see about that."
The movie was almost over and we planned on going to the club that was a few streets away. We walked for a few minutes and reached the club.
CLOSED read the sign outside the club.
"OMG! We are so late! " Both of us exclaimed.
"I guess this won't work out," said James.
"Yeah , my day was terrible. So let's head home?"
"Best thing to do, I guess"
On the way, I was thinking about the past James and I had.
We hated each other since we first met in college. He was bullying me when he got the chance and I had my paybacks when I had the chance and it was a continuous chain of hatred. But the only thing that was common between us were our friends. Both of us had the same set of five friends (including us seven). On one fine day, we were all siting in the cafeteria and were playing Truth or Dare , where James choose dare and Tony had to give him the dare.
" YOU AND ASHLEY HAD TO BE TOGETHER FOR A WHOLE DAY WHEREVER YOU GO" said Tony.
OMG! James and I had to be together for a whole day? That's impossible. I hate him and he hates me. What was Tony thinking?
Before I could say a word, James replied , "OK. I am taking the dare!"
"Ummmmm...... what?" I asked for which I only received a stare from him.
So, we were walking together to class kicking ang hitting each other. And we sat next to each other in class. During class time, we decided that we will go to a movie which both of us like, so that the time passes away quickly and we don't need to keep looking at each other.
So the rest of our day went in the theatres. On our way back home, there were four drunkards who were trying to harass me. I was planning to kick them just when I noticed someone hold my hand. It was James. He pulled me back and told me to stay. When I refused, he turned back and gave me a look. I knew that look. It was a 'Do as I say' look. So I remained quiet. I was thinking on what he was trying to do. Suddenly I saw one of the 4 men was flying in the air. James was hitting them all so hard that I thought they were gonna die. So I ran to him and held his hand. And I pulled him back. After a few minutes he calmed down and we decided to go home.
After reaching home, I thanked him for saving me. He gave me a smile. I felt like I was falling for him. That was the day when my hatred for him turned into love. I leaned forward and kissed him. He was shock at first, but eventually he kissed me back.
"Ashley? Ashley?" shouted James.

"What? Why are you smiling? Wha....?"
I did not allow him to finish that sentence and kissed him.
We are happy together now and we will always be happy together.
