JACKIES POV
It was October 31'st the moon was full and The coyotes were howling like Werewolves, there was a slight breeze blowing through the trees.
It was a normal Halloween night for my friends and I, we were egging houses. Luckily for us we have been doing this since we were like nine and never once came anywhere near getting caught. We all where masks though so even if there is someone watching they cant see are faces.
We had just threw eggs at my math teachers house because he gave us loads of homework, when my friend Cole asks me out of nowhere,
"Hey Jackie, do you want to go to the old abandoned house on Saw street, the one in the woods?" I was really surprised so when I said yes and asked if this was a date and when he said yes it was even more surprised when he said it was. But then realized that the house on Saw Street was said to be haunted. I decided that It was probably just a myth and agreed to go anyway, I mean what is the worst that could happen? After the rest of are friends went home, we decided to go check out the house, I was still a little hesitant but decided it will be fine.
COLE'S POV
I cant believe I did It, I actually had the nerve to ask out the girl I have had a crush on since I was 10. I mean maybe I could have started off with taking her to a movie or something, but I mean go big or go home, am I right? But hay she said yes. I took out my phone and googled where the old Saw House is and it took me to a easy route to get there in less than 10 mins by walking. "Are you sure your still up for this ?"I ask, because to be truthful I was starting to have second thoughts so I mean If she says she does not, it will give us a reason to go see a movie or something. We came to a road with a green rusted sign saying Saw Road. We came off the regular road and onto a dirt road, The after walking a while I could see a huge shadow of what must be the house, we both say wow in amazement. It was pretty dark so we used flash on our phones. We walked up to the old rickety porch it creaked and groaned as we stepped on it. I then opened the door it also squeaked with age as we passed through. I left the door open as we walked in so when it slammed shut it startled the both of us, after we realized it was probably just the wind. We started laughing, tells me I should have seen my face when the door slammed, I tell her she should have seen her face. I notice her slightly shiver so I take my football jacket off and hand it to her. "Here, you look cold." I say. She takes it and puts it on thanking me.
JACKIES POV
"I am definitely a adrenaline junkie so I am enjoying this quite a bit." I say trying to say something to calm my heart rate. He laughs we see a staircase going to what must be a basement, so we follow the stairs totally being the dumb kids in horror movies. as we went down the stairs we saw a shadow move by the far end of the room. we panic we search the room for something we can use for defense, all I saw a long brown stick which looked a lot like a table leg, and a broken beer bottle with the bottom smashed that couldn't do much so I left the bottle and picked up the stick and I tossed it to Cole. I used my flash to see around the room. We walked around the room, on the ground there was what looked like bloody foot prints, I gasped and pointed down. We now both decided to get out of here, so we started walking to the bottom of the stairwell when we heard a raspy voice say,
"Not so fast, you thought you could just leave?" We looked around and but we saw nobody, we were so confused. then Cole says
" Haha very funny Brent, leave us alone!" I recognized the name Brent from one of Cole's friends. We then ran up the steps and out the door, almost tripping over the porch. We ran out in the cold night air and dropped are so called weapons. we kept running till we hit the blacktop. We looked at each other and started laughing, then I kissed him It felt so good and automatically calmed my nerves. This definitely will be a Halloween to remember.
