Chapter One
Little Winging, Surrey
Harry Potter dreamed of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He grabbed his glasses on the table; he was in the attic in the cupboard. The room became smaller each year. The room became bigger, since Rubeus Hagrid brought him a snowy owl for his first year. Her name was Hedwig. Because of the fact that Harry didn't know about his parents, Lily and James Potter, were witches, and wizards, in the magical World, his Muggle, (people who didn't believe in magic), Aunt Petunia, and Uncle Vernon, were horrible to him. And they doted on their twelve year old, overweight son, Dudley Dursley.
Dudley, and his gang of bullies, tormented Harry, (and those who got in their way); since Harry knew he was a wizard on his eleventh birthday, he was eager to perform magic on Dudley. But he knew the Ministry of Magic, headed by someone called Cornelius Fudge, was head of law and order in London...and Edinburgh, Scotland; he read The Daily Prophet newspaper, and knew that September 1, 1998, was tomorrow.
Harry waited patiently.
'Come on, let's go outside', Harry said.
Hedwig was glad to leave the room.
The new adventure would begin by Monday morning at 8:00 AM.

'Hurry up boy!', Vernon Dursley yelled.
He opened the attic door.
He frowned.
The window was open.
'Petunia! Harry's escaped!', he yelled.
'What is it?', she asked.
'Harry and that owl is out of his bedroom', he answered.
'What do we do?'.
'Get him into the room, and lock the door'.
It was too late.
Harry walked away, and savored the fresh air for the first time since last year.

The last time Harry used magic was to fly in the air under Madam Hooch's instructions. Flying was natural for him. His father, James Potter, was a seeker during the Quidditch match; his mother, Lily Potter, was a witch with strong family values. She told Petunia. 'I won't have a sister going to that...place'. Lily didn't care. The letter came on time: September 1, 1978.
Harry imagined speaking to them.
Now, in his second year, he knew they loved him.
It was now up to him to prove his worth.
'Harry, come here at once', Vernon Dursley said.
He turned to face his Uncle, then he sighed, and headed back to the house.

'I told you he was in trouble, Dad', Dudley Dursley smirked.
'Be quiet, Dudley. Or I'll use magic', Harry warned.
'You wouldn't', Dudley said.
'I'll be at Hogwarts soon, and you can go to school for Muggles'.
Dudley stopped talking.
He went off to school at Smeltings Academy.
He wore a maroon tailcoat, orange knickerbockers, a straw boater hat on his head, and red shoes on his feet. He also grabbed a cane, that he used to hit students who got in his way. Harry loathed going to Stonewall High, a low-cost British school. It was for boys, and girls, who were poor and disadvantaged children. Harry felt bad about going there; Hogwarts was better than Stonewall High.
Much better.

The letter read:
To Harry Potter,
Second Years will need these books:
Witchcraft and its uses by Salazar Slytherin
Memories of My Adventures by Gilderoy Lockhart
Banshees and Ghosts by Gilderoy Lockhart
Werewolves by Gilderoy Lockhart
Quidditch through the Ages by Kennilworthy Whisp
Fantastic Beasts and where to find them by Newt Scamander
Hogwarts: A History (Second Edition) Bathilda Bagshot
The Philosopher's Stone and its secrets by Nicholas Flamel (First Edition only)
Curses and hexes by Salazar Slytherin, (Second Edition)
Harry noted what books he needed to get, and said: 'I need to go to London', he said to Vernon Dursley.
'Fine, obviously the other school is not to your liking'.
Harry nodded, and waited for his Uncle to take him to Platform 9 3/4.

The car arrived at King's Cross Station.
'Now, no funny business, boy', Uncle Vernon said.
'Harry'.
'Harry'.
He drove away, and headed back to Little Winging, Surrey.

It was 9:00 AM.
Two hours' until the 11:00 AM silvery whistle for the Hogwarts Express train to leave the station. Harry looked around. In a faded bookstore, he saw Hermoine Granger smile at him. 'Harry! Are you lost?', she asked him. 'No', he answered. On a seat was a tall man in wizarding robes. He had blonde hair, blue eyes, and spoked in an old-fashioned way.
'Well. It is great for you to come here today. Please, I am sure everyone will be able to get my books. Harry Potter, how do you do? Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. Former student for Ravenclaw House'.
Harry looked at the the Professor, and hated him.
'Looks like you like fame, Potter', Draco Malfoy, the Slytherin House wizard, who was twelve, sneered.
'Quiet, Malfoy', Harry answered.
He brought the expensive magical books, and went to the other stores with Hermoine, as Ron Weasley was with his brothers Fred, and George, and his sister Ginny, who was going to Hogwarts for the first time.
