I had just turned 12 and was excited for the new year. I couldn’t wait to see all my friends after only writing to them during the vacation. Though I never got a letter from the one person I truly wanted, I was still happy. I got a few from Hermione and some from Ron. I didn't get any from Harry. This summer was quite boring I guess. I got a bit taller and I guess maybe a bit more mature. Yesterday I got a letter about the required things we need for year two so my parents and I decided to go to Diagon Alley tomorrow afternoon. I mail Harry, Ron, and Hermione that I’ll be at Diagon Alley tomorrow and that I would love to see them if they're available. I kind of hoped I might run into Malfoy…
-next day-
“Lilith getup! We have to be at Diagon Alley in an hour!” Mother shouts. I slowly open my eyes, squinting from the light. I drag myself out of bed wishing for at least 5 minutes more of sleep. I get dressed and head downstairs where I'm welcomed by both mother and father.
“Hello dear, we made you some breakfast. It's on the stove when you're ready” my father told me while reading the daily prophet. Mother was washing dishes whilst on the phone with some business people or something. I grab my food and eat up. Today I'll be reunited with my friends, I am so excited. I quickly finish up and head upstairs to properly get ready, I put my hair in a messy bun and put some chapstick on. I head downstairs again and we get in the car on the way to the Leaky Cauldron.
We soon arrive and head straight inside. My parents had some small talk with the people inside as I went directly to the entrance of Diagon Alley. I just want to see my friends as soon as possible. Not being able to hang out with them is really boring and I miss them. Mother and Father soon wrap up their conversation and head into Diagon Alley with me. I look around for them and they are nowhere to be found. I continue searching Diagon Alley grounds and soon I lock eyes with Hermione. We quickly run toward each other and hug. I've missed this so much. I soon see Ron and Harry. I give them both hugs and we go shopping for our items together.
“So Harry.. How come you never answered any of my letters?” I asked him.
“Well, I didn't know anyone wrote to me. A house-elf named Dobby stole them because he doesn't want me going back to Hogwarts, he says bad things are going to happen. I don't really understand what that meant.” Harry replies. “I’m sorry Lil... Was it important?” he asked.
“No, I was just wondering if you were alright” I answered. “So how have you been, Harry?” I proceed to ask.
“I've been alright. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon have lent me Dudley's second room, so I guess that's nice,” he replies.
“That's great! How about you two? What have you guys been up to?” I ask Ron and Hermione.
“It's been quite boring, to be honest,” Ron replies.
“I spent a lot of my time studying for this year,” Hermione answered. I mean I'm not surprised.
“Well at least we can be with each other once more, it feels great to be back,” I say, they all nod. We all travel around Diagon Alley picking the things we need for year two. I lend some money to the Weasleys as they are poor and they don’t have a lot of money for certain items. They were hesitant at first but finally accepted it. Ron finally got a non-hand-me-down robe. He was quite happy actually.
-next day-
I was super excited to be getting on the train to Hogwarts. As we got Ginny through the wall, the rest of us joined. We all put out things on the train, me being the last of course.
“Hey, guys! I got my stuff put away.” I say walking to the compartment the trio and the twins plus Ginny were in. When I looked up I saw there was no room, which made me sad. “Guess I'll go find another seat,” I say, walking away from their compartment. As I walk down the train’s walkway, I see Draco sitting alone in one of the rooms. He notices me and looks up at me.
“Yes?” He asked rather rudely.
“Well I was wondering if I could sit in here because there are no empty seats but it looks like this one’s full too,” I say giving him a look of sadness but I quickly cover it up.
“I never said you couldn’t sit here.” He says with a little smirk. “Sit down why don’t you Lillith.” He says. 334Please respect copyright.PENANAqI9RRmf8gp

“If you want me to,” I reply, moving in the seat in front of him. He then quickly moves onto my seat, scooting closer to me as I look out the window. As I watch the station leave my sight, I slowly drift to sleep not noticing I laid my head on Draco’s shoulder.
Later, I slightly get shaken awake hearing a voice whispering into my ear.
“Wake up Lil, we are here.” I hear Draco say into my ear, sending a somewhat familiar feeling down my back.
“We are already here?” I ask sitting up a little, noticing I was laying on Draco.
“Yes, we are sleeping beauty.” He says chuckling slightly. “Now if you like to get up so we can get to the great hall, that would be great.” He says, getting a little snappy.
“Yes dad,” I say rolling my eyes earning a glare from Draco, along with a smirk. We walk alongside each other to get a cart. As we sat in the cart he sat close to me, which caused me to look down as I blushed. Soon after I look down I feel a finger under my chin, slowly bringing my face up to face his.
“Look, Lil... I am so sorry for being rude to you last year. I have no idea what had gotten into me.” He says, looking very sincere. I look into his eyes, moving closer.
“It’s okay Draco. I just hope it doesn’t happen again, I missed you.” I say smiling.
“I missed you too beautiful.” He says smirking. I giggle and look away from him blushing.
