Third pov
It was Draco's sixth year at Hogwarts when his sister was found. She was brought to the Manor as Draco was at school, then brought to Hogwarts halfway through the year. He had no idea she was there but soon would be surprised.
Bella's pov
I was nervous, no being nervous can't even describe what I was feeling right now. I was standing outside the doors of the Great Hall, waiting to be brought in. As the doors opened, I took a deep breath, walking in the hall with the headmaster.
"Hello everyone." He starts as we walk down the tables. "I am pleased to introduce you to Bella Blossom." All the student's heads turn to me while I walk to the front. As I get to the front, I made eye contact with one of the professors, his black eyes looking into my soul. As I turn, I look to the Slytherin table to look for Draco. When I see him, I smirk and use my wand to ruffle his hair.
"Come here, Ms. Blossom." Professor McGonagall called me over placing the stool in front of the professors. I obliged and sat on the stool. As she placed the sorting hat on my head I smirked over at Draco.
"Ahh, I see. Ms. Blossom is not who she says she is." He paused "She seems to not be a Blossom, but a Malfoy." I smirked and held my head high. I looked to Draco to see a look of disbelief as the hat spoke. "Cunning as her father but kind, much like Lily Potter." He paused again. "I think it will be.. Slytherin!." The house shouts and the Slytherin house erupts in applause.
"Well hello, there Ms. Blossom, or should I say Malfoy." A boy from Slytherin greeted me.
"Shove off Zabini!" A voice from across the table intrudes. I look over and see Draco. I smiled and put my platinum blond hair into a low ponytail and used my wand to float over the table.
"Hello, Draco," I said, taking a cookie off his plate.
"Hey Bell." He said getting another cookie then hugging me. "Where did you go?" He asked into my shoulder.
"You-know-who took me." I replied, saying only that. He nodded and pulled away.
The next day
I wake up early for breakfast. As I walk to the Great Hall, I run into someone.
"I'm sorry, didn't see you there." I apologize, looking up only to stare into the deep black eyes I did yesterday.
"It's fine Ms Blossom, I just expect you to watch where you are going next time." I hear his deep, emotionless voice.
"Yes sir, but please, it's Malfoy." I corrected him nicely.
"Right, well I'm glad you are safe. Your father was greatly worried." I nodded and smiled brightly.
Snape's pov
Her smile, it lights me up. Reminds me much of Lily's smile.
"I must get going Sir, I have to see my brother." I nod
"Very well Ms Malfoy." I say with a slight smirk. She smiles and walks away. I watch her as she holds her head high, not caring what others think.
Bella's POV
As I walked to the great hall, I felt eyes on me. A certain professor was watching me walk away and I got flustered.
As I walk into the great hall, Draco rushes over to me.
"Where have you been! It thought something happened to you!"
“I'm sorry! I ran into Snape and then I was on my way here.” Draco nods and gives me a piece of toast. We sat down and Dumbledore told us to eat.
“Are you going to be joining the quidditch team?” My brother asked me while we ate.
“I would like to but i'm not sure what I would be.” Draco scoffs
“You will most definitely be a seeker. You would always beat me while we raced at home.” I giggled and nodded.
“Who is captain?” I asked
“I am. Marcus Flint, at your service.” I look over my shoulder and smile.
“Well hello there Flint. Is there any possible way I could be put on the team.”
“We will see. Meet the team at the quidditch pitch at 6pm sharp. Don't be late.” I nod
“Yes sir!”
6pm: the quidditch pitch
As I made my way to the pitch with my brother, he told me how I would probably have to race to find the snitch with him being the other seeker.
“Welcome to Slytherin team tryouts! You will be going against Draco in order to find the golden snitch. Good luck!” I nod and get on my broom.
“Ready to lose my dear brother?” I aak with a smirk.
“In your dreams.” He says smirking back
“I've already done it once.” I say with pride. I then add, “I'm sure I could do it again.” The Slytherin team laughs and Draco grunts.
“We’ll see.” He finishes, floating off.
“While you guys are looking for the snitch, we will be scrimmaging a game. Whichever team gets the snitch, wins. Ready.. Set.. Go!”
The snitch was released, along with the other balls. I look around while Draco tries to taunt me. I spot the snitch and race after it. Draco yells after me and follows close behind. Not soon after I spotted it, I caught it.
“Ha! I am better after all my dear brother!” I smile holding the snitch in front of his face.
“Looks like we have a new seeker!” Flint says. “Draco you will still be a seeker but not as often.” He adds. I look to Draco,
“Good job sis, I'm proud of you.” He smiles “Mum and dad would be too.” I smile back and give him a hug.
“We will be practicing every Wednesday and Friday till 8. I have a note from Snape so no one will get in trouble.” The team nods. “And Bella, i'll give your uniform to you tomorrow morning during breakfast.”
“Thank you Marcus!” I say as I start to walk back to the castle.
“Hey Draco, I'm gonna go to the lake so don’t wait up.”
“Okay, see you at dinner!” He says as I walk away.
Third person
Severus Snape sat there watching the young Malfoy girl sit by the lake. He had always been fond of her when he met her at the manor. Her smile was just like Lily’s and she smelt of lavender and peppermint. He had always thought he would never see her again after Voldemort took her.
The same went for the young Bella. Though she never fully met Professor Snape, she knew he was a nice guy. She would always hear his deep, velvety voice while he was conversing with her parents and she would always go warm. Bella always got butterflies when she smelt his scent of potion ingredients and fresh parchment. Though it was never because they were close, but because she smelt it as he walked by or when he sat across from her at dinner in the manor. Even when he would just be leaving through the fireplace.
While Bella Malfoy was in thought, Severus Snape made his way over to the young girl.
“Hello Ms. Malfoy. Is there a reason you have been sitting out here for over an hour?” The stern man asked, standing behind her.
The young girl jumped. “Hello Professor. I was only thinking about things.” She said looking at him.
“I see Ms. Malfoy.”
“Oh please Professor, call me Bella. Malfoy reminds me of my father. Not that he's bad or anything..” She says, stopping herself from continuing.
“As you wish Ms. Bella. And i'm sure you have your reasons for wanting not to be called Malfoy.” Snape concludes but then adds. “Why don’t you come with me and we can go back to the Great Hall, supper is about to start anyway. And I'm sure your brother is worried.” Bella nods and stands up.
Snape’s Pov
I watch as she stands, the smell of lavender and peppermint filling my nose. As she brushes off her robes, she slips and I'm quick to catch her.
“Are you alright Bella?” I ask looking down at her.
“Yes, I'm fine Sev- I mean Snape,” I smirk slightly at her stutter but then I pull her up to her feet.
“Lets go Ms. Bella.” I say as I turned and walked toward the castle.
Bella’s Pov
I blush slightly and follow behind Severus as he walks back to the castle. Am I crazy to think I might be falling for my Professor?
