Woozi's Pov

I'm walking down the hallway, laughing at Joshua's joke until I see them.

They seem like they're dating.

But they're not.

Well, I'm not entirely sure.

When I ask Vernon, all he says is,

she's cute isn't she?

That doesn't answer my question at all.

And even though I'm too shy to exclaim it, 

She's pretty cute.

And short.

That's a highlight, someone actually shorter than me that isn't an infant or short child.

Her brown hair reminding me of chocolate that whoosh around when being chased, as well as her brown eyes that get big when she's surprised.

When her short, soft looking, legs are kicking in the air when being held up.

When her somewhat squeaky voice starts to squeal Oppa or when she's scolding someone.

Actually, all that, has to do with...

Vernon.

He's always with her.

He's always chasing her, surprising her when he grabs her by the waist.

When he scoops her into his arms when she least expects it.

When he looks at her or does something stupid and she calls him Oppa or scolds him, or both.

I groan.

My sleeve is pulled.

I look over at who it is.

Dino.

"Woozi Hyung, are you okay?"

I nod and smile brightly.

"Why wouldn't I?"

He shrugs.

"You've been looking at Vernon and Jiho the whole time they've been fighting."

I shake my head.

"I have?"

He nodded.

"Where'd she go?"

Dino raised his eyebrows.

He mutters a few words but I rush pass him.

"Vernon!"

I say happily and brightly.

Trying to seem like I don't want to strangle him at the moment.

He smiles and shows his sparkly teeth.

"What's up?"

We do a handshake.

"Oh nothing, who are you waiting for?"

I put my hands behind my back and raise my height by standing on my toes.

"A friend."

"What friend?"

"You don't know her."

"Exactly why I want to know."

He narrows his eyes and I give him a toothy smile.

He didn't answer me so I stood beside him.

"What are you doing?"

He asks me without looking at me.

"I'm waiting."

I wrap my arms over my chest.

"For who?"

He's pushing me away.

"Hey what are-"

And I'm pushed to the ground.

Footsteps are heard running away and so is a voice.

"Why'd you push him?"

I know that voice.

"You told me to distract him."

I also know that voice.

"I said distract not hurt the innocent."

The adorable voice of my crush.

"Well do you want him to see you with your red face and awkward way of-"

She shushes him.

"Dang it Vernon! One word too many!"

More footsteps are heard.

Towards me.

A hand.. in front of my face.

A small, soft-looking, hand.

I look at the owner, and it's her, my crush.

She smiles awkwardly.

"Lee Jihun! Sorry, Vernon shouldn't be pushing you, even if you are his close friend." 

I talk a hold of her hand and she pulls me up with such strength.

I stare at her hand in mine.

My cheeks start to flush as I rub the back of her hand with my thumb.

She takes her hand and bows.

"S-sorry, I apologize on Vernon's behalf."

I open my mouth to say something, but nothing comes out.

"Well then, have a nice evening."

She turns and walks away with Vernon behind her.

I stomp my foot.

"I missed it! My chance! It's long gone like her and Vernon now! Ani!"

I cover my face with my hands and turn to Jeonghan.

"Jeonghannie! Tell Vernon to stop trying to pick up my girl! I'm her Oppa, I'm her Oppa!"

I place my head onto Jeonghan Hyung's shoulder.

He pats my head.

"Aish, little Woozi you don't know a thing."

He says in a flat tone.

I look up at him.

"Huh?"

"Jiho and Vernon are childhood best friends.

Vernon never told you because he obviously likes teasing you."

I sniffle.

"That jerk."

I pout.

"Two can play it that game."

Jeonghan looks at me.

"I'm gonna still his lunchbox!"

I clap my hands and fist pump the air.

"Fighting!"

I skip my way to the class.

Lunch is next.

This is the only period I have with Jiho, the love of my life.

Vernon, though, should be with his team. 

But he's here with her.

Meaning... his lunchbox should be in the locker room.

I straighten myself from my crouching position and take a step.

But I bump into Jeonghannie's chest.

"Hyung, move I have a plan already."

I walk beside Jeonghan but he blocks my way with his arm.

I poke his arm.

"You have really good arms."

So buff.

Nevermind that.

"Jeonghan, if I want to succeed in having Vernon suffer for an hour, I will be happy. 

Don't you want me to be happy?"

Jeonghan nodded.

"That's why I'm handing you this, place out your hands."

I open up my hands and wait.

He places Vernon's lunchbox into my hands.

I smile happily.

"I thought it was unfair.

How he tricked you, I mean."

I nodded and patted his shoulder.

"I'll give you candy later."

I bow to him and watch as Vernon makes Jiho laugh.

I pout.

"If you like the girl so much, talk to her."

Jeonghan says.

"It's not that easy, Hyung."

I roll my eyes at him.

"Of course it is. Look."

He looks at a few girls passing by.

They all swoon and fangirl.

Looking at them!

I stare at him dumbfounded.

"You're like an Angel sent down here just to make girls swoon."

I look at him and clutch the lunchbox.

"But the difference is; you've dated and I haven't. Girls like you because you're irresistible."

"And girls like you because you're adorable."

He says to me while putting some of his long hair behind his ear.

"But I don't want girls liking me."

I look inside the classroom she's in.

"I want a girl to like me. The one who never notices me."

I sigh sadly.
