Disclaimer:
Everyone and everything here belongs to J.R.R. Tolkien. Except for Lasarra Daelam and a few other characters I might add into the story. I might also alter some events of the story but I will try to stick to the main one.

Then, I might include some elvish words and spells in the story which I would take from the internet including their translations.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAH2Je16QGte
And lastly, English is not my primary language so please excuse the grammar and other mistakes I might make.

Well, that is all for now. I hope you enjoy the story. :-)

Lasarra Daelam:
The sun is setting and darkness slowly consumes my surroundings. I feel the warmth of the sun vanishing into the night. I stare at the view from the balcony of the tall dark tower of Isengard - The Pinnacle of Orthanc.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAHruWB8kKCP
Many trees surround the place but all I see now are their silhouettes that are made visible by the light of the crescent moon. The trees seem to lay dormant; no sign of life in them as the creatures had fallen asleep in the night. All I hear is the sound of the leaves rustle as the wind blows through them.

But from Fangorn, that lies far to my left, I still sense so much life in it. The trees there are living and would move every now and then. If I'm fortunate, I would sometimes hear whispers from them. And whenever I do, it just makes me smile.

Now, I close my eyes, inhaling the cool breeze and feeling it on my skin. My long golden hair is blown back and dances along with it. I smile as I open my cerulean eyes, looking at the stars that are now visible in the night.

Not too long ago, I had nothing. Not even the memory of my childhood nor of my parents. The only memory I have is of how I stumbled upon this place - Isengard, home to the great white wizard - Saruman.
409Please respect copyright.PENANArsWNOg7DF1
I was nothing but a mere child. No older than seven. But Saruman took me in and treated me as a daughter. He once said that I possess great power. Such power that could tip the scales for the advantage of whoever will have me as an ally. I did not know what he meant by that. But all I know is that it grants me magic without the use of a staff and grants me power that even I not dare wield.

Ever since, Father had trained me, granting me knowledge of things and skills of the sword and bow. He even taught me spells. I was a fast learner, as he said. And I learned many good things from him. He is such a good person.

Now, I am 21 years old. I've come to love nature as my father had. However, I sense something is wrong. Father had been acting strange lately. He is always in his study, rarely coming out to even train with me as he always did. He has become distant. And I do not know why.

I suddenly hear my Father's voice echo from inside the tower. He calls for me. So, I head back inside, closing the wooden double doors of the balcony. And then, I walk through the dark halls with no form of light to guide me. But it does not matter. I have lived for fourteen years in this place. I know where everything is.
409Please respect copyright.PENANA4jsmwebQr2
I continue to walk with only darkness surrounding me. However, I reach his study without difficulty and then I knock gently on the closed double doors.
409Please respect copyright.PENANARoHJ5EFGOD
"Father?" I say. "You called for me?"
409Please respect copyright.PENANAcxrIIOzOkI
The double door opens, revealing my father inside; his back facing me and he seems to be doing something. A single candle is alight and placed on his table, giving off just enough light for him to work. I tread my way near him and stop once I am beside where he sits.

However, when my eyes gaze upon a black sphere-shaped object on his table, I immediately sense the dark aura it seems to produce. I take a step back and turn to my Father.
409Please respect copyright.PENANApZKYXzWQEm
"Father.." I say, apprehension clear in my tone. "What is that thing on your table?"
409Please respect copyright.PENANAv2qC7q1W49
He stops whatever he was doing and points to the dark sphere. "This is a palantir, my dear." He says, slowly meeting my blue eyes with his own dark ones. "The Stone of Orthanc, to be exact."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAgAuW2kaSKt
However, when I see his eyes I immediately know something is troubling him. My thoughts of the sphere are instantly forgotten and I focus my attention on him.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAdm9c8M150w
"There's something troubling you, Father." I state, no sign of doubt heard in my tone. "Tell me."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAeAhr7xP63h
He smiles half-heartedly. "You were always so quick to discern emotions, my dearest daughter." He says.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAPe6MBs9QHu
I smile at his praise and take both his hands in my own, kneeling so I am lower in level. "Father, I am here for you. Tell me what troubles you." I tell him honestly.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAERhJGtWKfv
He stands up and takes my hand, leading me out his study and to the balcony of the tower. There, he stops and stares at the forest.
409Please respect copyright.PENANA3c2S84qFY4
"There is a great evil rising in the East, my dear." He starts. "An evil that would spread throughout the world, consuming it."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAGQzQaiUpmN
Once he says that, deep inside, I already know what I need to do if his words are true. But I don't say anything yet and listen on.
409Please respect copyright.PENANA0G35Goc9si
"Dark times are coming, Lasarra." Father continues. "Sauron is about to walk this world again.." He stops. But I have a feeling he is not done yet.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAtkaTxNUWvo
"And what, Father?" I ask.
409Please respect copyright.PENANABWygi3wtI3
His eyes flash a look of pain before looking away from me. He then faces the dark view of Fangorn Forest.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAJ2LOUn18SU
"Father.." I say worriedly, dreading what I suspect he will say. "Tell me." My words come out like a command.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAsBKkmZWWy7
"I've decided to join Sauron's forces." He says, his tone hard and forceful; facing me with a look of finality.
409Please respect copyright.PENANA2Zuyy4MdaT
It's as I thought. I look to my father, trying to put on a hardened front but the tears that slowly cloud my vision is not helping. "No.." I say, my tone coming out weak and shaking. "You can't be serious."
409Please respect copyright.PENANALPCKcoSdS2
"I'm afraid I am, Lasarra." He gazes at me evenly; the once fatherly look he always gives me, gone.
409Please respect copyright.PENANApP52Zc2aVR
"But if what you say is true, and Sauron is coming, then middle earth will need all the help it can get." I can't help but say. "And yet you chose to join him?" I say in disbelief. "I thought you serve the light, Father."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAkPJMtIs5Ym
"There is no winning this war, Lasarra." He says. "Joining him, there is still hope of living. Fighting him, we will surely perish."
409Please respect copyright.PENANA5oSqSvPKMc
"No. That is wrong!" I raise my voice, opposing his words. "You are closing your mind to other possibilities. You must rethink this."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAw5jiLXzvwN
"I've already made my decision, Lasarra." He states with finality. "If you are wise, you will decide the same."
409Please respect copyright.PENANABdBd7kt4h2
He walks away, leaving me there. The tears I have been keeping from falling are now flowing from my eyes. Father's decision will lead to the world's demise. And I cannot let that happen.

As silently as I can, I make my way to the door of the tower. I have decided to leave. If my father chooses to side with the enemy, then I no longer belong here. I love him but I cannot let that cloud my judgement. What's wrong will always be wrong.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAY4rwXK72Lc
I packed provisions and my weapons namely a bow and some arrows, a sword and some daggers. I should be able to survive with these things. I know how to hunt anyway. Father had taught me.
409Please respect copyright.PENANA6C6jFYXu7U
And then, as I reach the door, I try to open it as slowly and silently as I can to avoid waking my father.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAKYr7dwh00u
"So you decide to leave." I hear my father's voice from behind me.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAhD1t7j3GJA
I heave a sigh, turning around slowly so I can face him. I look to him seriously and emotionlessly.
409Please respect copyright.PENANA2TYXlCyH4I
But in return, his hardened look softens and once again he looks at me with those loving, fatherly eyes; the same ones he would use on me whenever I made him proud.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAse0rtGWCkg
"I won't stop you, Lasarra." He says with a sad smile. "As your father, I won't stop you from making your own decisions."
409Please respect copyright.PENANA8zr78JecVl
With just those words said, my guard instantly crumbles into pieces and I run to him, crying. Once I reach him, I embrace him as tightly as I can for I have a feeling this will be the last. "Forgive me, Father." I tell him. "But my loyalty is for the light. And if you side with the darkness, then I believe I have to leave."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAbQYuYoI1jl
"I know, My dear." He replies, kissing me on my forehead. "Go." He says, smiling sadly. " Do what you think is right. And I wish you success. Be strong."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAwDV1qu6iJu
"Thank you, Father." I tell him as I wipe the tears off my face. "I love you. Farewell."
409Please respect copyright.PENANAkFGJZXipCV
And with that, I leave without turning back. I'm afraid that if I do, I might not have the courage to turn away again. I bring up the hood of my cloak as I continue walking in a fast pace.
409Please respect copyright.PENANAsBsb7iNsFH
My chest tightens and my eyes again sting as I continue walking away from the tower. Farewell, Father. For today might be the last day I will see you again.
