Lucas leapt from the roof, landing fifty feet below on two feet.
He looked down, pleased with himself, and proceeded to walk casually away from the scene as if nothing had happened - although that would be pretty difficult, considering he'd just jumped from fifty feet above. And then he looked up in alarm as he heard the inevitable sound of sirens. But, of course. It was pretty hard to miss him. And these particular cops would stop at nothing to catch their criminal - not even if he was a 15-year-old boy with no solid evidence of a crime.

He ducked into an alley to avoid the black-and-white cars that zoomed past him. As much as he wanted to beat the hell out of them, he had no intention of getting caught. He took three quick strides to a certain section of the wall. To someone who was walking by, it would seem that the wall was poorly built. But if you looked closer, you could see the faint outline of a door.
Lucas pressed on one of the bricks. The door swung away to reveal a long corridor. He stepped in, and the door closed behind him. He took a reluctant step forward, shivering as he stepped through the tunnel. The sheer coldness of it sent shudders down his spine.
Oh, grow up, he thought to himself. It's only a little cold.

Beyond the tunnel was a room; no better that its' entrance but still, a better place of hiding than the streets. This was a room that he'd discovered long ago, completely abandoned, and adopted as his own. A place to hide away from the police when they decided to go after him.

He heard the distant sirens once again. And this time, they were much louder. Much closer.

Suddenly he heard the sound of a microphone-assisted voice.

"Drop all your weapons and step out of the building with your hands up!"
They'd caught him. They'd caught him.
The men burst into his hideout with their paralysis and machine guns, all of which were pointed at their next target - him.
He stepped back, afraid that one of them would choose to pull the trigger. But they wouldn't actually do that - to a 15-year-old - would they?

"P-please..." he whispered.

"Lucas Kirkwood, you are under arrest for suspected kidnapping."
"D-don't sh-shoot me...!" He whispered again.

All of a sudden, something caught his eye. One of the officers.

There was
something... different about him. Some sort of dark aura around him, as if he shouldn't have been here.
"Lucas Kirkwood!"
Lucas stepped forward with his hands in the air. He felt ridiculously vulnerable, as if he had a massive red target on his torso saying 'Shoot Me'.
The officers began to close in on him like a pack of wolves with guns closing in on their prey; getting ever closer to ripping an unfortunate deer apart, limb from limb.
Him.
Suddenly there was a gunshot.
But who shot the gun?
Lucas looked around.
Another gunshot.
This time he felt it narrowly miss his head.
Whoever had shot the gun was aiming for him.
A third gunshot.
And Lucas saw nothing.
