Whoops. 

Hazel woke up that morning feeling groggy. Thankfully it was a national holiday that day, so Hazel could stay home. 

"Hazel," said girl heard a knock on her door. 

"Yes, Percy?" She asked thickly, wiping the sleep from her eyes. 

Percy was her house mate, a long time friend she met years back. 

"Don't you have school today? It's like, nine already?" Percy asked through the door, Hazel yawned loudly. 

"No, some weird holiday is today." Hazel got up and opened the door, Percy was still in is sleepwear. A pair of grey flannel pants and some band from Earth. Something called Kentucky? Kansas? Some type of band named after a state in the United States or something along those lines. 

Hazel went to Earth, but not for long enough to learn it's trends. 

"Well, you should get into your battle stuff. Some of Dark's followers are in Washington." At this Hazel shot up, 

"And you don't wake me up earlier? What if they've already killed people?" Hazel glared at Percy, although it wasn't very intimidating. She was in a pair of sweatpants and a loose cotton teeshirt. Percy shrugged, Hazel just then noticed he was wearing a chainmail breast plate. 

"Jeremy seems pretty capable of taking care of some of the baddies for a few." Percy said nonchalantly, Hazel pushed past him irritably and to the weapons room. She grabbed her favorite chain mail breast plate and an old, but reliable, regular iron sword. She received it for her sixtieth birthday, although she was one hundred and seven she still celebrated her and her brother's birthday. 

"Let's go, Percy!" Hazel called, she grabbed her transportation necklace, one that her brother gave to her, and created a wormhole to Washington. To her brother. The colorful and swirly portal opened and the two leaped through. 

The trip only a few moments, but they were very silent moments since Hazel was still irritated she was going into battle with her pajamas on. 

"Glad you could join the party!" She heard Fiona yell from ten feet away, Hazel growled. 

"Why is Fiona here? This is dangerous!" Hazel decapitated a Shadow Man in frustration, Percy shrugged. 

"Joanna's also here, hey, JoJo!" Percy waved to Joanna, who was on a small hill shooting the enemies. She waved back after shooting another arrow. Although her ways of attacking wasn't melee like how Hazel was taught, it got the job done. Plus her quiver was enchanted by Hazel herself to have an infinite amount of arrows. 

"You have got to be kidding me." Hazel groaned, it wasn't as if she didn't appreciate the help. She really did, but she didn't want her friends risking their lives for her.  

Hazel sighed and flicked the tar-like blood from her sword and charged into the small mass.  They weren't very hard to kill, but when they group together like they always do they're more difficult to deal with. She gripped her iron sword tightly and cut one Shadow Man's arm off before decapitating it. Hazel cringed slightly as it's blood stained her pajama shirt. 

"Hazel! Are you in your 'jammies?" She heard Erick yell to her, burning a Dark Knight to a crisp. 

"You're here too? Let me guess, Chase tagged-"

"Along? Yeah." Chase cut in, shooting a Shadow Man in the head gleefully. He really loved his laser gun...

"You guys are ridiculous, you don't need to assist us every time Dark's followers invade a park." Was all Hazel said before diving right into a large group of Shadow Men. One ripped her pants from the hip down, she growled and cut off its hand. For the second time today she cringed at them. 

"Gross." She groaned as she killed a few more. And soon enough they were all dead and gone. 

"By the High Council, I just wanted to stay home today." Hazel muttered irritably, Percy snorted. 

"Of course you would, you legitimately live in a freaking floating mansion in another dimension where you can't have friends over because they need a wormhole to come over. Plus you have like, five rooms where you can do stuff all by yourself. Your house is awesome." It was true, Hazel's house was indeed awesome. 

She lived in a floating mansion called Grandfather Clock. She didn't really know if it was cliché to live in Grandfather Clock, she was almost sure nobody else lived in another dimension in a floating mansion. But it sounded very, fairytale. 

Hazel began to wipe her blade clean, she didn't want the blade to be stained with blood. Sounded gruesome, but that was the reality of it. She decided to go home and finally relax. Hazel didn't really appreciate her torn pajamas and bloodstained skin, she really needed a shower and new clothes. 

While Hazel went home, a new character came along. 

"Was she here?" He asked, Percy looked at the brown haired teenager(although he wasn't actually a teenager) in pity. 

"She just left, you know how girls are. They freak out if they get blood all over their new Gucci boots." Percy joked, the boy rolled his eyes. 

"Very funny, ugh. I wanted to do the cheesy thing where the guy surprises the girl and shit." The boy sighed, Percy looked at him skeptically. 

"But you're not in a cheesy romantic movie and you're not dating Hazel." Percy pointed out, the boy laughed. 

"Yet, you forgot the yet, Perce." The brown haired boy then walked away. 

"Wait! Don't you want to see her?" Percy called after him, the boy stopped momentarily before laughing again, turning to Percy. 

"I'll see her soon enough, she'll visit eventually. After all, time makes the heart grow fonder." The boy ran off while chuckling to himself, his eyes turned from blue to brown in seconds. 

"He's a weird one." Was all that Percy muttered before he hitched a ride back to Grandfather Clock with Jeremy.

Jeremy was on the phone with his, and Hazel's, parents. 

"Really? Wow, okay, thank you, Mother." Jeremy hung up and looked at his sister, who just got out of the shower and was now wearing jeans and a teeshirt. 

"What'd they say?" Hazel asked, Jeremy looked weirdly at his phone. 

"That some orphan girl in Australia has the Marking potion and we need to pick it up before Dark gets to her." 

"What?!"
