It started out as a regular Tuesday with my friends and I hanging out at our local cafe ‘Blue Bottle Cafe’. We were sipping on our regular drink, Hot Cocoa! When we heard the news on the T.V. we hopped in our car, and we drove to the Twin Towers to see the planes heading straight for it. We thought it was just going to be a plane crash, but we were wrong. Debris was flying everywhere and something had hit Margarett in the head knocking her unconscious. Jay being behind us because he was the slowest and yet the strongest of us all combined. He quickly picks her up and continues running away, and then the second tower crashes to the ground. We quickly ran into an abandoned building and hid. While a dust storm of debris flashed by us. While we were waiting for it to pass over and stop we were trying to help Margarett and wake her up. We waited for at least two hours for it to pass, but it wasn’t ending any time soon. Liam had the idea of cutting off his sleeve to one of his flannels that he wore every day. And wrapped it around Margarett’s head to help the bleeding while we try to find our way out and to the nearest hospital. We found a small hole from the abandoned building and while Liam took care of Margarett, Jay and I started to kick, punch, and hit it until our legs and arms were so bloody that it hurt. Margarett finally woke up due to the pain in her head. We found a strong piece of wood in the building and used it to break down the wall. We succeeded! When we all made it out we headed for the hospital that was a few blocks away. We noticed a taxi and took it to the hospital. When we made it there and when we walked in it was more packed in than a can of sardines. So we went to the front desk and signed in Margarett and got told to go to the next hospital because this one was full. We signed in again and waited for a few minutes before being called in. Our doctor, Dr. Micheal was really friendly and stitched up her head and patched us up, too.
