Honestly, I shouldn't have expected very many participants. I was hoping for four or five entries and I was going to decide it there. Anyways, just so where this doesn't look too pointless, I will add a small entry of my own. Since there was not enough entries to award the top three, I might give myself one... if it lets me.
So, I guess my childhood fear was known as 'Lost Episodes'. If you don't know about these, they are forgotton episodes of cartoons like Spongebob, Rugrats, and even modern ones like Gumball. These episodes are considered Creepypastas and usually makes happy characters into insane serial killers.
Yes, it's both cringey and depressing. Even so, it terrified the crap out of me. I read stories like 'Squidward's Suicide' and 'Dead Bart' as a child. As an adult, you would easily know these stories are fake. As a kid though, you are practically watching your entire childhood murder itself.
I guess the biggest reason it scared me, even the thought of it existing today, was simply because such things like this is possible. All it takes is a depressed animator to accidentally release their edgy abomination to the public, and now you got something on TV to scar you for life.
In short, that cheerful cartoon can become a child's worst nightmare, due to a small little accident. Anyways, thanks to the few that did participate. Since this didn't go so well, I just decided to watch a few youtube videos about this idea. Honestly, it was already done before... several times actually. I might do another challenge in the future, maybe when I get a few followers, but for now I will continue working on my stories.
