As I walked through the library, stalking the Team of Mystery, I could see how relaxing the décor of the library was. No wonder the Team of Mystery did their mystery solving here. I've been watching the Team of Mystery for the past week and a half or so, and I've been sending all those vicious e-mails they get once in a while. Of course, I don't just do this on my own, though. I have minions. Many minions, in fact, that will do anything I say.
One of my minions, though, hasn't been very obedient. As you can probably guess, it's David Hummer. I sent him on a mission to spy on the Team of Mystery, and when I saw Sam and Tanner going to the library to solve the mystery further – after I had just attacked Astrid to get them to stop – I knew that it was no use trying to get them to stop. That's when I asked David to keep them safe. I want them alive, so that they can solve the mystery for me.
There was one problem with keeping them safe, though: they were too smart. David had to save them from danger, so that the Team of Mystery would trust him. The ghost librarian was my idea. It wasn't actually real. I made a deal with the librarian that she she would disappear from the Dark Falls Island and I would pay her back with money, so that she could start a life outside of the island. Then, she blew open the wall, and David played the hologram. After that, the librarian was gone.
The ghost librarian actually looked real and it also looked like it was chasing Sam and Tanner. The whole thing was my plan, and David followed it. But I know he has other plans. He betrayed me once before, about a week ago. He went against my words and didn't sabotage Tanner in the surfing competition, so I had to do it. I beat him up the next time I got. He sat unconscious for about a day. He knows not to betray me anymore, but I know better than to believe that he'll listen.
So, I have to step up my game. Betray me once, shame on you. Betray me twice, shame on me. I sent that message that said they had to stay in the library for three days, or David would die. I changed the rules.
Things are about to get interesting.
